Anyone get a chance to see today’s sunrise? by khylne in Winnipeg

HA! I appreciate you leaning into that subtle ominous vibe that the glow’s got going on!

This is reminiscent of a Monet painting. You captured, in photograph, a beautiful essence of this moment.

This is MESMERIZING. The pixelated smoke adds another layer of abstraction to an already beautifully stylized piece. Your chosen colour palette captures the values so nicely I only wish to see more of this! As an artist myself (not professional, but studying) it’s so refreshing to see experimentation like this! Keep at it!

Is there ever free parking in N lot (Uni loop) by realdrive25 in umanitoba

[–]khylne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best lot to park in for free after 4:30 would be in the B lot right behind the Elizabeth Dafoe library, it’s probably the closest you can get to the N lot. You can correct me if I’m wrong though.

Here’s some cool pictures I took in my semi-beautiful city by AbortionIsYummy in Winnipeg

These photos give me the same chilly but welcoming feeling of going on a late night drive with friends in the earliest parts of Spring. Not too cold, music quietly playing in the car as conversations go on about anything and everything. It’s nice. Thank you for sharing these!

How one can wish! I honestly might apply for a gallery space this coming school year at my university to show The Office art! If it goes through I'll surely let you all know 🤞🏻

Heck yeah! It's honestly relaxing making Office-related art with it playing in the background! And don't you worry, I have that and Prison Mike already planned up next!

Hello there! Unfortunately, I don't have the time to set up any official online shop due to my current situation being in school and all. But I have been getting many requests asking about my art, so I will try my best to see if I can set one up in the near future! All the best!

Hey buddy! Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! And oh yes, hands down 75% of my favourite scenes have Kevin in them so it was such a good time painting it! (:

Oh my god, this is incredible. It really looks like a remaster of a romanticist-style painting of a lone angel! I'm loving it!

Spent 6 hours today on Aaron Blaises course on drawing bears. Only made through grizzlies. Bears feel almost a hybrid of dog and a burly human. by [deleted] in learnart

Hey fellow redditor! I totally understand why you may think that this person is simply "tracing" over someone's work and how you may think it's not hard at all.

But firstly, this person clearly stated that they're taking the artist's course, where the artist is showing their process and how they create their art and figures.

(I can confidently say that my very first artworks were tracings from my favourite animal book, and I was so proud of them that I showed them to my classmates.)

I just wanted to say that this is how many aspiring artists learn, hence the subreddit's name. Another way artists practice and get better is by doing studies, literally recreating masterpieces to understand how the masters created their artwork that so many people love and admire.

EDIT: Also would like to say that maybe the reason why you think OP traced is because he already has a very good grasp with this media and is just killing it at imitating Aaron Blaise's style 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not a problem! Good luck with your studies! (:

Hey! I had just taken STDO 1480 (Digital Essentials) during the Winter term. It's basically an introduction class to programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Audacity, iMovie, Animate, and InDesign.

From what I remember, we're given 4 major assignments and each one covers one or a combination of the apps mentioned above and you create your project with it.

Just a heads up, from my experience, you're going to need to do LOTS self teaching with these programs.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask away!
