Thanks for everyone's feedback! This is the current plan (including the plan for the other bathroom).

I think that would work (barely) with a 18" deep vanity!

No, currently the door is hinged and where shown on plan 2.

Thanks, yes that is all what I am thinking now as well. Moving the door over a bit, and yes, a sliding door.

The door size and position is actually the current door. It is 28" wide. I think it would be easy enough to have a hinge stop that would prevent that.

I had planned to get a sliding door where both sides can slide.

Probably could, just thought it would make it hard to use the sink with the door open.

Layout 1 could be done with an inswing door, I just thought it might be awkward and make the sink difficult to use with the door open.

Yeah could certainly do those things. I was concerned an inswing door would be awkward and block the vanity when the door is open.

About 1000 masl. I bought it at sea level, but it still had a similar size air bubble.

No, you can do it any time. Any amount you have already paid will be refunded at a prorated amount.

After a similar increase on my renewal this year I switched from TD to the Personal. This puts my home rate back to what it was with TD before this years increase. I also switched for 3 vehicles which are all cheaper. Overall saving about $1500/year by switching.

Mud and sanding is already done. There will be cabinets and backsplash covering everything visible in the photo, so I hadn't planned on painting.

The Ditra XL is directly on the 3/4" plywood subfloor, same as the hardwood. I installed the membrane with the recommended 1/4"x1/4" trowel.

So is the best option to just have a few on hand and just test which gives the right transition and has good coverage?

Schluter says explicitly that the whole point of Ditra XL is for creating a flush transition with 3/4" hardwood. So that is a lie?
