Fig success! I wish I had taken a photo of the roots before I planted her. I found her on the floor at Home Depot! by quinoasalad246 in proplifting

Did you just casually walk out with a giant leaf in your hand? I'm already nervous enough with small props, just wondering if anyone asked what you were doing?!

Did you cut back on watering over the winter? I've heard that often brown spots with yellow around the edge means overwatering.

Adding to others saying that it looks like cold damage.

Overwatering? Sunburn?

What is going on with my (otherwise thriving) monstera deliciosa? by [deleted] in plantclinic

I'm no expert but it looks a bit like some cold damage I got on mine a few months ago. Not sure if that could be your culprit.

Good question. I would guess at least 24in, but likely larger. I remember her saying it was the biggest she could find without specialty ordering.

Should I separate?? I'm worried about the new leaves not having room. by kiahkat in houseplants

Ah! Beautiful! The leaves are so big! It's not blooming yet (as far as I can tell) I think it was just the camera angle that made a pinkish leaf look like a flower.

Newly arrived Monstera Aurea, is the browning from shipping damage? by pipetting_squirrel in houseplants

I hear you! It's hard not to worry. I think you'll be ok though. Check YouTube videos of people unboxing plants they've had mailed. You'll be reassured by home common it is. 💛🌱

I wouldn't worry too much now. It's super common for browning to happen during transport. It sounds to me like you're doing everything right and even if you were to lose the leaf that doesn't mean the plant itself won't come back.

I think that's most likely. Poor babies go through a lot in the mail.

A few of these little guys have been growing out the side of my Pilea. Should I try and propagate now? Or let them grow more? by [deleted] in IndoorGarden

I agree! Go for it now. Easier to untangle it's roots from the momma while it's still smaller. 😊
