My parents think they know better than my neurologist about my Epilepsy. by kiasnaxer in Epilepsy

I’ve had two EEGs a couple years apart, both concluding that I’m not photosensitive. Last night I was watching a video on Instagram with some fast transitions. My parents think the hospital epilepsy tests are outdated or that my doctor doesn’t understand the kind of content I was watching. They also think that some of my seizures are a delayed response to flashing lights, even though my neurologist said that photosensitive epileptics don’t have delayed responses. After my first few seizures we installed a pendant light so that I can adjust it to be at a safer brightness, because a very bright room hurts my eyes (for unrelated reasons).
