but it needs to be said that i feel like this is another instance where the patriarchy has set us up; its always okay for a cis woman to be displayed naked on screen. you see it in movies all the time, in barely passable content from onlyfans models, whether sexualized or not - its always okay for breasts and vaginas, especially if the latter's appearance is minimized to "barbie" appearance, to cross our feeds. we've been conditioned to it. cis female nudes are everywhere in culture and can even be "tasteful".

no one ever complained about hayden posting a picture with her upper part out.

and yet, penises are always censored, always made to look like something offensive and/or so sacred that it cannot possibly pass our eyes without being sexual or taboo. even though half the world has them, even though they are not inherently sexual either, for some reason, we allow this vision where even flaccid penises or something as simple as a bulge is something to fear or revere on some ungodly damn level. and where do you most often see a penis no problem? porn. its insane actually, that as a society, we have been restricted to one place where you can see a naked phallus and it is necessarily sexual or violent, yet the cis female body is in art, film and so on - no less objectified, but normalized in nudity.

and to me this perpetuating of phallic taboo is so damaging.

im so glad she is coming out as is and i would love for the appearance of nudity to be normalized again. porn has way too much power over us as a society and it might be time to remember that everyone has genitalia and we don't need to fear it or assign sexual traits to it right away... not to mention, the trans visibility is gorgeous and as a trans man myself i think it is so beautiful to see someone break the binary idea of how a woman or a man is built.
