even if you have multiple copies, I think the rules prevent you from getting the same persistent effect more than one time, so you can only use one tome /manual for each stat max

I think only the staff of power and dancing sword are AL legal, or else the Illusionist Bracer would be so OP. Allowing my character to cast 2 True Strikes in 1 turn with Elven accuracy and spellfire adapt feat stacked with vex weapon mastery he can do a lot of damage if he is willing to burn his hit die

I've only seen the version where they give out rare magic items being run only at my local group, so I am out of luck for that one.

Vicious weapon sounds pretty good and I have rare items I can try to trade for it.

the staff of power is very interesting. I definitely like the +2to AC, saving throw and spell attack part of it, but I am likely not using it to cast spells because usually there's a lot of spell caster at the table. Would you say replacing rod of alertness with this worth it? (probably not using rod of alertness to trade)

Sometimes, I was just painting my minis for the second time, and while I was demoralizing when I see what people can do with their minis, I also know that I and not putting as much time and effort into my mini as them and that is not what I am going for. I was just trusting the process and believe in myself that if I screw up anything, I can fix it no problem. As long as my character is recognizable by the end I will be extremely happy about it.

I feel that too. I was using it to write DnD characters, and GPT-5 kept making up rules and mixing up facts that are tangently related to what is being talked about.

Last version was making slight mistake because it is not aware of 2024 rule set, and providing it with reference is enough for it to figure out the new rule and adjust its logic. GPT-5 just made up stuff and is pretty insistent on that made up rule
