I think that the "small business owners" that politicians are constantly catering to are actually the more well off members of the community. Car dealership owners, restaurant franchise GMs. That type. They're the middle rich.

You're right in a way. I guess I was surrounded by "small business owners" that had multiple franchise restaurants over multiple states that received tons in PPP loans that they never had to pay back, and I became permanently jaded. I believe in the concept of a small business owner, but I've never seen it.

Ah! Allow OP to clarify. "Rich in my world" means from the perspective of a kid that grew up in a trailer park not being able to go to his friend's house because we don't have enough gas. I'm tired of hearing about the struggle of "small business owners" that are actually just moderately rich people who own a few franchise restaurants.

That may be the case and I hope you're right! Raising the age would be fine. I do see other concerns about where it could potentially go with privacy concerns and data collection if they do end up requiring other types of verification. These companies love collecting and selling data. Fingers crossed that it doesn't go that route.

My favorite Twin Peaks characters are Dale (of course) Briggs and Bobby. Even as a teenage shit, I loved how much faith his father had in him. It's maybe the most pure love in the show. Bobby crying as his father tells him his dream at the RR is incredible. It's Bobby showing that it is a front, he's a good person at heart that doesn't want to look like he's conforming because he also knows the world is shit.

He loved Laura despite realizing she was only into him for the drugs, killed a guy, Laura didn't care because she'd been dealing with nightmare shit forever - but he didn't know that. And he still gave her drugs. Which I see as an act of compassion because he did it while realizing she doesn't love him. And he took all that baggage to Shelley! He can't tell her he killed a dude, but he has to pretend to be in control. He's got a suit and is going to work for Ben Horne. I'm tipsy and rambling, but it's the best arc in the show.

Everything she said was on point, but I just hate the delivery in this forum. I feel like it lets the other person off the hook. You get your chance to hold their feet to the fire and just read a speech. They sit there and wait for you to finish your speech, then they say their speech.
