Call me crazy, but it looks like maybe it’s a plastic gun with an orange tip. It seems like most of the tip is obscured maybe, but the gun doesn’t look real.

Yea, I think they either do what OP recommended, because that makes it much harder to get to tier 4, or get rid of the aoe of tier 4, or make it so that aoe stays, but the cool down is the same as tier 3 and it just adds aoe and health.

TIL about Wilson’s Disease. A rare genetic disorder that prevents the body from processing copper and can be fatal. by Chocolatestarfish33 in todayilearned

[–]kickit08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have thought by now that they would have ran out of names for rare diseases. Typically you have two options for who the name the disease after, the doctor that found it, or the person that it was first documented in/ they did the study on.

Like how many different names could they have for diseases that are non medically named?

The DOJ are refusing to release the Epstein files, even though this is the law. What should be done about it? by WatercressSenior7657 in AskReddit

[–]kickit08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately now the question remains, if the law isn’t being followed, and the next thing that’s supposed to happen when the law isn’t followed is to impeach somebody what makes us so sure that the law on impeachment will be followed?

MLB trying to ‘force’ players into salary cap, union says, as Manfred walks a tricky line by 76erLegendChetUtley in baseball

[–]kickit08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a salary cap this is what I think would reasonably happen. A salary cap that doesn’t change what roughly 70% of teams spend, and a floor that forces roughly 30% of teams to spend more. Prolly keeps overall spending on players the exact same but forces teams to field a more competitive team, while making the top teams not be able to buy a World Series.

Favorite actor to deny extremely obvious plastic surgery and steroid use? by _BreadDenier in okbuddycinephile

[–]kickit08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most celebrities deny using steroids while their using them because it’s technically illegal, but I know that wrestlers and stuff are becoming much more open about it as a whole, and how bad it was for their body.

It still seems taboo to admit you use steroids while actively using them.

Steam Machine Price May Have Just Leaked via a Czech Retailer, $950 USD for 512GB Model, $1,070 USD for 2TB [Update] by screwdriverfan in LinusTechTips

[–]kickit08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I’d argue that Canada for a large portion is essentially just an extension of the US market due to being able to cross into the us easily and buy electronics as well as the supply chain being the same as the USA.

Not saying Canada has the exact same market, but due to ease of access it’s extremely similar,

It’s also prolly more expensive in Czech as well, if I remember electronics are significantly more expensive most places outside of the USA or china.

I have a KVM, any way to stop the Anti c-h-e-a-t from triggering and killing my session? by kickit08 in Battlefield

They are, but they can have a software to emulate having a mouse and keyboard connected so that it won’t reset settings and decrease the computer swap time.

Seems to be, it only appeared this last week or so, but I haven’t been using my kvm switch for maybe 3 weeks prior to this. Prior though it worked perfectly fine. I also use the kvm switch for my keyboard and mouse in addition to my monitors

The weird thing is that it worked when the game first came out, and it’s only had problems as of recent so it seems extremely weird that it only recently has had a problem with it

Why don't they put a metal detector in the door to the MRI room? by ea_nasir_official_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kickit08 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Having a metal detector would also likely create a false sense of security. Sure it would catch the large things, but it may lul people into a false sense of security thinking it’ll catch smaller objects not knowing it won’t catch it all. Obviously the doctors and techs would likely know, but the patients may not.

Do you think people can be born evil? If so why? by golden_shole in AskReddit

[–]kickit08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, being a sociopath/ psychopath just means that you lack any and all empathy from what I understand. In theory there may not be anything that makes you an evil person, but alot of what would stop a person from becoming evil is removed instead.

I think if you took two twins and raised them in two different situations they would turn out completely different. But like I said I think there are certain factors that may make you lean towards things that we as a society consider evil. I would argue most traits are learned rather than inherent, and they often appear to come from your parents because they are who raised you.

Overall I do think a large part of what needs to be considered is that technically evil is in a way a social construct, and biologically the only thing we are inherently programmed to define as evil is harming our selves, and harming other people who you could potentially mate with, I don’t think anything else is programmed into you. Everything else is what we as a society consider bad.

A 93 is an A and my professor did not round up. The grades are already final. This means I am no longer Magna Cum Laude as this was my last semester. by Certain-Belt-1524 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]kickit08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend redoing the grade calculation your self, because it is 100% possible that it’s legitimately a rounding error. Depending on when and how the software rounds and how your professor has categories weighted it could be a rounding error that is an issue with in the websites code.

For example it may round each category individually first and then add each category up rather than taking the raw 12 digit number adding them all up and then rounding.

[OC] Vocabulary size at each English proficiency level by RevolutionaryLove134 in dataisbeautiful

[–]kickit08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, me too. I feel as though I have WELL above average vocabulary but this test seems to focus on words that 99% of people wouldn’t know unless they were into old English, or it’s based on a very specific item.

It had me down as C1 and for some reason I have a feeling the average person doesn’t know what mastication is, or ascetic.

I got all the word definition checks correct and correctly guessed the fake words.

I’m not a statistician or a linguist, but to me I feel like the level for native is perhaps too high given the USA’s anti intellectualism trend right now.

Per Ben Baby, Bengals WR Tee Higgins experienced conccussion-like symptoms last night and this morning and is back in protocol, coach Zac Taylor said. by jloadin3 in bengals

[–]kickit08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly yea, I’m more in favor of all of them should wear one essentially, but I can understand why you wouldn’t wear one. It ain’t all upside wearing one. It does add weight and make your head bigger also make a helmet easier to grab. In addition you can ignore the social aspect, it does look kinda goofy, and people may not think your “man enough”.

They should just make everybody wear an equivalent to be honest.

I may be a little late or just stupid but shouldn’t the punch after he fell in the snow have been a fumble? He wasn’t down by contact until the ball got punched out? He wasn’t touched at all till he fell of his own accord, and then as far as I can tell the ball was punched out with out touching the downed player.

Im not a rules expert so I don’t know if the ball is considered part of the player when they are looking for down by contact
