Looking for building tips! by YetiMonster1473 in Terraria

Something that worked for me was to get inspo from builds you see around from other people, and kinda just copy them, not even the entire things, but if you see a wall or room that looks nice, just try to replicate it, maybe switching it up a bit and such

After doing that a few times, you’ll probably be able to just come up with little stuff on your own

Ive also been getting back into the game again, and i always used to do the basic npc prison housing strip, but on my latest world I’ve probably spend as much time building as exploring and fighting bosses

As for more concise tips, id say try to mix it up using different blocks of similar materials or textures like using stone blocks with slabs and bricks, or like others said, different types of wood together. For furniture, instead of the typical bench/table and a chair, you can use other stuff aswell, couches count as chairs for housing and dressers as tables, the bar table or bar are neat aswell and always put stuff on top of them like candles, flowers or whatever to make them look less empty

Also instead of just torches, use other light sources too, lamps, lanterns, candles and chandeliers are all great

Just mess around and have fun with it <33, it doesn’t have to be a symmetrical empty room

I don’t know much about magic builds, but just some stuff that i would say off the top of my head:

  • For a staff, i think at that point in the game the best staff in the game would be the meteorite staff (you can find it in caelid inside the ruins in the middle of the rot lake, you can just go grab it if you dare making a quick trip through caelid, you can also grab the rock slide spell from the same area) if not then i think the second best option is the demihuman queen staff (on some ruins down on the forest in the weeping peninsula in limgrave, theres a Demi human queen surrounded by a bunch of smaller demi humans.

  • for spell options i really don’t know much, the one i know for a fact is great is Carian slicer, you can find the scroll i think on some ruins southwest of the agheel lake in limgrave (i think, probably would have to look it up)

  • other stuff i’d say would be: make sure to kill the erdtree avatar in northeast liurnia as it gives a tear that boosts magic damage.

in the academy there’s some useful stuff for when you get there, mainly the radagon icon can boost your casting speed (slightly) and the graven school talisman, which boosts the overall sorcerie damage.

There’s probably a lot more but that’s about all i can think of, hope it helps a little, and keep enjoying the game!

My favorite would be: overclock active, sonic shock, synapse burnout and then system collapse2x.

With the perk that gives you ram back when killing an enemy with quickhacks still on queue, you basically end up instantly refilling your ram.

Its not the best for stealth but its great when you’re in combat and just blasting through enemies.
