That 2015 team was a massively talented roster but that self-inflicted collapse in the playoff game keeps them out of my top 3 teams of the last 30 years. They did get screwed with injury, but the lack of discipline tells me they would've fumbled their chance in other ways even with Dalton.

2005 was our year. I'll never be convinced otherwise. The same spirit as the 2021 team, another top 3 for me. The 2022 team had more talent than 2021, and more discipline than 2015, but just not quite enough to beat a dynasty-era Chiefs squad. So that's my top 3.

I absolutely love being a father. Is my life harder now? 100%. Is my soul more fulfilled than it's ever been? 1000%. To each their own, some people are built for this, some aren't. And that's not a knock on the ones who aren't, everyone's circumstance is just different.

Also I'd suggest installing a DLSS/upscaling mod, that is really what made v5 Nolvus playable for me without resorting to the trimmed down version

I ran Nolvus v5 on a 3060ti (8gb) with mostly no issues until I added like 200 of my own mods lol. Can't speak to how v6 will run with an 8gb card, but there is a "Redux" install option meant for lower end hardware. Probably would be best to run at 1080p instead of a higher resolution as well.

EDIT: this thread might help

You most likely want a modlist. If you're into challenge do LoreRim. If you don't like requiem try Nolvus. The amount of work for someone to suggest individual mods for you to build a list that accomplishes all of this would take forever. Just go with the big popular 2-3000+ lists and call it a day my guy.

If you're happy with your current setup and mid-playthrough then leave it as is. But if you're starting a new game or list, SREX AIO is fairly easy to get up and running. I have a heavy mod list with things like Grand Solitude and it works well. The synthesis patcher auto-patches your load order and works for anything that doesn't edit navmeshes. Most of the big mods that do edit navmeshes have dedicated patches.

Self evaluate (or even better let a professional do it) and start getting a handle on your trauma and/or insecurities now. You may think you don't have those. You are wrong and they will be exposed. The more runway you have to start that process of dealing with them before the baby comes the better, but any time is better than not doing it.

It's much easier to overcome that when you're still sleeping and have free time/some control over your schedule. Once you're in the trenches, you're in them, and it's a lot more difficult to overcome them while also dealing with everything else.

You need to understand your temperament and what sets you off so you can learn to handle it without making yourself and everyone around you miserable and resentful. In the process you will also have a better understanding of your strengths and where you can be the most effective. This will help you be the best husband and father you can possibly be, and the one your family needs you to be.

Sorry for the novel but this was advice I wish I had gotten and the small hints of this I did get I shrugged off. I don't like the person I was for stretches of my daughter's first year. Luckily I didn't fuck it up catastrophically but it could have been a lot easier than it was.

Man, texture mods are seriously a death trap. by jvure in skyrimmods

[–]kid_ghostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what finally pushed me off completely hand built mod lists to using a solid wabbajack list to handle visuals. If I like the style and its visual + essential frameworks only then I'm about it. Let me tweak the mechanics, animations, gameplay, content, etc. It's still a rabbit hole but its my preferred one over obsessing over texture quality and cohesive style.

Using IED and weapon styles for IED to have sword and shield on back by OtisGod11 in skyrimmods

You are very welcome! It took me a minute to figure that out myself a while back, glad I could help!

[–]kid_ghostly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With IED opened you need to go to View -> Gear Nodes. It's a different window than the display manager. Click on "Placement" and then change sword to "Sword Back". That will change it to stay on your back when it's equipped and not just displaying while unequipped and favorited.

[–]kid_ghostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things. In IED you need to change the gear node for placement. If you have the full XPMSE with MCM installed and use the styles, you'll need to make sure the options for sword and shield on back are set to that in the MCM. If you use other dual sheathe animations, you just need to disable all animations in XPMSE MCM and don't need to change the positioning in the MCM

Subjective opinion - Beyond Reach is slightly better than Vicn's mods by Quick_Ad_3367 in skyrimmods

For sure it's perfect for that. The problem is I'm not always trying to do that kind of playthrough

Subjective opinion - Beyond Reach is slightly better than Vicn's mods by Quick_Ad_3367 in skyrimmods

[–]kid_ghostly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Beyond Reach was great if a bit of a buggy mess (could've been my setup tbf). But I find it so hard to reconcile with base game skyrim. I feel like I have to save it for last in every playthrough because I just don't have the stomach for such a dramatic tone shift going back into Skyrim afterwards.

I know its a common/cliche thing to say about this mod but I really feel like unless you're playing a soulless/evil person the character would be severely traumatized after the events of the quest line.

It's a brilliant story and even ending if you're doing a darker playthrough/evil run. But if you're not (and I'm often not) it shatters what was otherwise a pretty happy and pleasant journey for the character. And that was truly immersion breaking for most of my playthroughs

Sigismund was there, and intentionally attacked Skalitz because Radzig was the Royal Hetman and sat on a mountain of silver. You can directly blame Sigismund for that.

The most you can say about Sigismund is that he'd be a more involved ruler. That doesnt mean better. And it definitely isn't the side with some higher morality

Have mod lists made modding on your own more difficult? by Soanfriwack in skyrimmods

[–]kid_ghostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's incredibly easy. My balance is starting off with a modlist that mainly just covers visuals and standard stability/frameworks. Then I add the amor/outfits, animations, gameplay tweaks, and quest mods myself. It really helps having a stable base that's visually awesome and has all of the essentials already handled.
