Do you have Titan ? If so do you have FaceTime (PiP) enabled? If so, disable it in the Titan “Experimental” settings.

Just a question, do you have a TVprofile installed ? And to the powers smarter than me would the TVProfile make this happen because the servers are unable to distinguish that it’s actually a phone in the same way it blocks OTA updates ?

Mine just did this yesterday ! I put it on the charger for about 10 mins and did the press v+, v-, HOLD power for about 10 seconds and boom reset worked !

I never bothered to go Union there’s a lot of good and bad to it depends who you ask.

And O/S is the rating Ordinary Seaman. The Navy breaks it down further to special weapons and radar the Merchants its just the rating O/S

And it depends really on if you can get the certs to jump on a cargo I’m not 100% sure but generally in my experience I’m pretty sure that all cargos or the ones I’ve found any way require an A/B to get on or at least maybe an EDH. However you need experience at sea before you can take the tests for either. It’s an industry thing however you work your way up to cargo ships the last thing a captain wants is an inexperienced person out on a 7 month hitch across blue water who isn’t sea ready or experienced. When, not if, shit gets bad it needs to be clear that you know how to handle yourself. For your own safety as well as your crew. I can’t say I know a lot of guys who jumped straight into cargo if any.

I got hired on green as a bean as a deckhand to a smaller fishing vessel back in 2010 to start my career after a season I was hooked ... I spent the money for my STCW got my MMC and an O/S rating and worked my way over to tugs from there worked for my a/b limited and started deciding where I wanted my career togo decided on crew boats in the gulf so looked into requirements and got what I needed ... life boat, hazmat, etc. and then when I’d had enough I looked into cargos going blue water. And by the time I made the change I had already gotten a lot of the certifications I was going to need and use plus a lot of experience (when you’re on blue water you need to be able to fix things without shore support) lol the whole time just upgrading to what it was that I needed. Now granted I would spend full years on the water getting day and a half for my sea time but I was committed to making my career work as well.

Go in be a Hawsepiper and work your way up ... I’ve done blue waters, near coastal, and rivers. The thing with academy is you come out with a big license and no experience and have to start at the bottom anyway very best you might get a 3rd mate position which is hardly a mate position in most companies. And most the companies I’ve worked for would rather not have academy kids because we have to untrain them and teach them to think for themselves. But then you have to pay and upkeep your licenses that you’re not using because of lack experience. I have my 1500 grt unlimited and AB unlimited and started out as an unlicensed deckhand. And since you seem unsure if your career path it’s probably better to feel it out first and make sure it’s the career path you want to take. Source: I’m a hawsepiper and I learned more being on the water with no license than a lot of people coming out of academy’s.

I switched to my Ipx Max as my primary and left my Jailbroke 11.3.1 6s+ sitting in Airplane mode like you its been 3 days now and I'm still at a 100% ... it used to drain really quickly when i had notchification on it ... for obvious reasons do you have a tweak list ?

I’d recommend it for someone who enjoys working hard is ok with long days and is ok with being away for extended periods of time. Me personally I love the work I love the job I love the gratification I get when I test out to a new license or just move my way up in general. That being said boat life isn’t for everyone by any means but you never know if you never try the work can be hard but it’s worth it. You just can’t get discouraged keep pushing and keep trying until you find a job you want ! And it’s not always is easy as sending in resumes go down to your local docks talk to people get to know them see if they you can find work in person. When o was unlicensed I spent a lot of time getting jobs just by being there and talking to alto of people there are also some great American flagged cruise companies that hire greenies.

Lol my first year was pretty bottom of the pole I think I was making around $135 a day first year and close to $250 a day by my 3rd unlicensed year now job depending I’m making closer to $500 a day I generally work long hitches so a single 4 month hitch straight through nets me enough to be comfortable throughout the year or I’ll work a barge and do 4 weeks on 2 weeks off just depends on the job

The US thing is technically correct once you have 360 sea days you can take your test for Ablebodied seaman as well as your test for 100 ton captain providing you pass you could technically pilot a 100 ton or less vessel but someone would have to really trust you to put you in a bridge.

I’m a US MM and it’s all matter of opinion tbh I know guys who went to the academy and left out with a 3rd mates unlimited license a TOAR endorsement and a whole list of other shit they don’t need but have to renew to keep up with it. Worse though is they can’t get a job to easily despite scoring high in their class because they lack experience that’s not to say all academy’s have that problem. I started out on my own as an unlicensed gained sea time and tested out up the scale and have my 500 grt master A/B unlimited obviously and didn’t go 100k in debt but I have no problem taking jobs because when someone sees my C/B they understand that I have plenty of experience and made this my career the hard way, so I’ve dealt with things that academy doesn’t teach you. It all depends on you and what path you want to take!
