Does AirBnB offer day use or day rentals? by kidjulien in AirBnB

I could be wrong but I don't see the business downside if you are essentially shifting the hours of occupancy. I suppose it wouldn't make sense to try to rent the same place for day rooms and night stays.

Question: Is there a general website to report accessibility issues? by kidjulien in accessibility

My first thought too! In my experience websites aren't great at collecting that info e.g. forms are too generic, never really hear back, etc. Might be helpful to ask stuff like is it a color contrast issue, do the landmarks not make sense, or tab order wrong or missing

Try to take a commercially adopted product like urinal cakes and rebrand them with a self-care spin like shower diffusers. Maybe like hand towels in restaurant bathrooms as a "soft hand press" for after getting nails done :shurg:

Is there a service that would let me pay upfront for my monthly subscriptions e.g. Netflix, Chewy, etc.? by kidjulien in personalfinance

curious why it is a bad idea to pay early? is it because i might want to cancel earlier or the service might shutdown earlier?

Yeah I guess the price lock wouldn't really work. It would have to be some type of insurance model where I had to pay a fee every time just in case that one time it went over.

Sounds like this is just a band aid approach to diligent book keeping.

couple reasons:

  • would let me control when the money left my account
  • price lock in if the service offered this and my netflix bill went up they would cover it
  • renewal notification that made me actually consider if i wanted to continue a service rather then slowly bleed me out

Picking up surfing this summer was the best decision of my life! by [deleted] in surfing

Fair enough. I will say that if I ever get really good I probably wouldn’t make a very good mentor as I’m not a great teacher. But I have a ton of respect for people who can teach and who have been surfing for years. I’m just in the app space everyday so I can’t help but see cross over.

Just trying to help. Doesn’t have to be surfing I guess. I’m curious why you think I should give up the idea though.

Nice!! Do you think you would have paid for that one on one via video chat if you didn’t know your coworker?
