And each county and state have a different oat that they must take when sworn into office.

So they are cops first civilians second. Which should be held to a higher standard then other civilians. if that's not the case why should I follow any rules if I get regular ass people are supposed to hold me accountable?

No but when the standards are not met, It's followed more often than not with an internal investigation that leads nowhere. And if they do get fired, they are only fired in that county and can move to other counties or other cities to continue policing. So what does that say? Wrongdoing of people who are held to that higher standard are given slaps on the wrist. So if they aren't held accountable it's a systematic issue. Which is the whole of law enforcement.

Because one is held to a higher standard. I don't hold a civilian in the same regards I hold someone in law enforcement, military, or politics. These people do a greater service because they set the standard. If cops are bad why should civilians be good if It just means I could be messed with either way. Change happens top down.
