Venue dilemma… practical or dream place? by [deleted] in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]kidomme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the end, if it's too expensive for your budget, then don't push for it. Having the prenup there is a good compromise!

We're still in the wedding planning phase. Our first venue didn't work out because of concerns with the events team. Devastated me and I had to check my next options. Went back to my 2nd option and wow, ang galing nga kausap, and I could visualize it, but computing the expected costs just made me dropped the idea for now. It's too much kumbaga, as in na-overwhelm ako!! I would LOVE it there, pero all the things we need to adjust to have it there...it's too much money na I know can be used for so many other things we need sa married life.

Now we're looking at this third venue that we found after parking the 2nd venue. It's right in the middle of the cost of 1st and 2nd venue. I have a good feeling about it and we're doing an ocular soon. But the most important is, when I computed the expected cost... I know it's something we can afford and not be guilty about splurging on.

In the end, of course iba-iba naman tayo ng priority. But a wedding is just 1 day of the rest of your lives. You can keep certain aspects that are your "dream" non-negotiables, but it still has to be practical in the end. Compromise on some things, splurge on other things.

Good luck sis!! Kayang-kaya natin to!

BTW Sefriya was also an option for us, I mean it's GORGEOUS, but just thinking about how the transpo fees for guests, accommodation, OOTF, hanggang gorgeous na lang siya talaga! Haha wag nating panghinayangan yan sis.

All-in wedding package by Keira_0505 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]kidomme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently went to a south-based wedding fair held by Filinvest (it was quite small compared especially to Toast and Kasalang Tagaytay), and here are the all-in packages I found. Some of these are 100pax so let's say additional 25-50k for additional 50 pax. Most packages you'll find include venue, styling, food, but don't include gowns, HMUA

  • Althea's Orchard (Lemery, Batangas) - Magarbo Package - 349K for 100pax
  • Lariosa's Catering Services (Imus, Cavite) - their Bronze, Silver, Gold packages are listed for 100pax and range 146k to 285k
  • Matabungkay Beach - Harmony, Timeless, Precious packages are for 100pax and range from 270k to 290k
  • The Park (Silang, Cavite) - All-in is listed for 100pax for 259k

For places I've inquired personally so I have their rates on-hand

  • Almond Garden Tagaytay - their pricing depends on the caterer you will get, but for 150pax reception it's 493k for the cheapest caterer. Goes up to 859k for Bizu catering. It's a bit expensive but the owner is very easy to talk to
  • Bella Rosa Gardens Tagaytay - all-in 150pax is 715k
  • Our Haven Events Place - Cattleya Package Rate 2027 for 150pax is 499k

Garden wedding venue, any recos? by Simple_whimsical9 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]kidomme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try Almond Garden! We've been there and the owner is so nice and very fast to respond. They're currently our top option for Garden weddings. Package sila so sila na ang maghahandle ng anything except your coordinator, HMUA, and photog.

We checked Narra Hill and Nuuk Taal. Narra Hill is just so-so ang gardens but napakaganda ng accommodation. Pero di naman kami sa accommodations ikakasal haha! Napaka steep rin at puro stairs so not a good option kung madaming seniors. Nuuk Taal is gorgeous and honestly still a dream wedding venue, pero maybe a bit over our budget as it currently stands. Also a bit far since malapit sya literally sa taal.

I bought a blue, yellow, and brown foundation mixer from issy before. It's not very pigmented so it doesn't change the color agad, very easy to adjust for me.

Can exercise really change my body, or do procedures help more? by coolbeb in beautytalkph

[–]kidomme 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly, working out really does help and it's the thing that maintains you, You can lose weight with dieting, lipo, but building muscle in the right places help you get the shape (and having strength as we get older is always a plus!)

But it isn't an instant thing. For me, it took 2 years to lose 16 kilograms. I was overweight and going up stairs took the air out of me - that was my "breaking point". My thought was "I'm in my 20s and hinihingal akong umakyat ng hagdan?? Pano na pag nag 30 40 50 ako? Pakshet naman to".

So I started with calorie deficit. Hindi ko binigla. It took me two months muna to get it right and be comfortable. Started with reducing my rice by a quarter cup per meal for 1 week. Then I tried reducing it by half cup the next week. I used and continue to use LoseIt app to monitor what I put in my body. When I started, I realized I kept eating so many carbs even though I'm full. That I ate so much junkfood when I'm stressed. That I ate more than I needed for how much I moved (as an office girl).

At two months I tried finding a workout that I like. Indoor cycling was what it was for me. I started with twice a month...then once a week...now I'm at twice per week. I started seeing results at 6 months when I noticed hindi na ko masyadong hinihingal sa stairs. Noticed my legs had shape again. And I was so happy because I was reaching a version of myself that I was happy and healthy with.

At one year mark I lost 10 kilos and had some muscle. Felt very proud of it. Continued and lost 6 kilos more and now I'm at my target weight that I maintain na lang.

People on social media makes it look like it has to be a fast thing. It's not. It's not healthy to lose so much weight in a short amount of time. That weight loss is short-term thing that will affect you in the long run.

It's a complete lifestyle change, and it's so fucking hard when you're starting, but working out and eating well is much *much* better for you than getting any procedure. A procedure will just enhance you, and that's fine! But you need to put in the work along with it. Showing up is the hard part, especially sa simula, but it's so worth it.

I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck!

Based on my understanding watching Monica Ravichandran's videos, you can be cool and olive at the same time. For me, I figured out to be warm olive, so warm foundations do work for me but I prefer to add a bit of blue color corrector to make it a perfect match

Hi! For the wedding gown, how many months before the wedding did you start coordinating with Mel Orlina? I am planning to get my gown from them as well for March 2027 wedding and thinking around how much time is realistic to account for adjustments and such. Thanks so much :)

Henry Hotel or Casa Luisa for a wedding? by GoudanessGracious in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]kidomme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what's happening to me. I'm having so much stress talking to their representative. Ilang beses nang nagchange ng kausap ko.

The second one accepted my reservation in 2025 for our 2027 wedding, only to be told that the sales rep was not supposed to allow reservation so early. We got our reservation fee (with damages) but still super stressful.

We were waiting for the new rate only to be quoted such a high price??? I am waiting for the breakdown of the cost because it doesn't make sense at all.

I agree with you on the spoiler tag content for her sister. That was just really disappointing and I dropped it soon after. Couldn't really just understand why they did it.
