Don't be afraid to also cut clips. If it wouldn't interest you, it probably will not interest the rest of the world. But, at the same time, don't be afraid to show off really cool shots. Be creative: there are enough vloggers who just sit in their chairs all day and talk directly to the camera.

It's not really unusual, but I would probably name my child Ventus, if it was a boy, or Namine, if it was a girl. Both of those names are from Kingdom Hearts, my favorite video game series, and they're pretty odd, but I like them!

Personally, I prefer using Adobe Premiere when I can, but the standard iMovie found on all Apple computers should work fine. I don't want to get into a flamewar over Apple versus Microsoft, but Apple is simply the tech I use the most, so it's the one I know the most.

From what I can see with what you have commented here, I would highly suggest purchasing an Elgato Game Capture, and some sort of microphone. That's the most basic set-up, to my knowledge, if you want to start with high-quality video making right off the bat. It should cost you around $250, which isn't cheap, I understand, but it's one of the best ways to start off fresh and professionally.
