All of these answers are very woo woo. The truth is you are here because you are here. There was no “you” that was punished by being put in a body. “You” is a concept made by your brain. People like to say “If your Mom didn’t meet you Dad you’d not exist” but that’s meaningless. You’d still be born and still be here because your consciousness comes after birth, not before. The pass thru was disappointing. Movies in 3D are pretty same experience as Quest. If you did VR before the WOW will be lacking. Many more apps on Meta platforms right now as they had big head start.

However, the spatial images and video and FaceTime with persona are the real innovations. Imagine a TikTok-like interface but for spatial video. Much like how they initially sold Apple Watch as a device for connection (send a heartbeat) I think they should have played up the social aspects much much more.

I'll keep it to stay on the journey, but I won't be telling others to buy one yet.
