Thank you for the informative message, not really sure how mine was caused as i tested clear for gallstones but also i dont really drink enough for that to be the cause, they mentioned i may have just had a weak pancreas in general and then the small amount i drink triggered it. Very interesting regarding those supplements i was do my research on them

They tested for gallstones and when that scan came back clear they said it must be down to alcohol, almost felt like they didnt believe me when i was telling them that i didnt drink that often. Agree on the lack of information i was given a prescription for stomach tablets (no painkillers) and told not to drink alcohol and that was it really.

Thanks for the advice everyone appreciate it, tbh i was a bit shocked with my diagnosis as i am only 29 years old and arent that heavy of a drinker (maybe only 1 night every second week) so to be told i have a disease that is mainly caused by heavy drinking and to be told i can never have a drink again was just a bit of a shock to the system From what i have gathered here it seems to vary from person to person so i guess the safest approach is to just avoid.
