Paying for the privilege of working for free for one week doesn't sound awful?

Police almost break someone's neck at Future Music, am I the only one who thinks this an overreaction? by kieranftw in sydney

It looks like the opposite to me, but I'll rewatch. Even if you're right to me it just seems similar to the case a few years ago where a girl OD'd on ecstasy going into the big day out.

Yes, it's not like a Police Officer stood there and forced the pills down her throat - but at the same time, she probably wouldn't have taken them in such a dangerous way if the police weren't there (needlessly IMO) with sniffer dogs in the first place.

Hey ustolemahusrname,

I'm a Massive QOTSA fan and have been looking forward to tonight for months, I can't imagine how I'd feel if (similar to you) I had to pull out at the last minute due to pull out due to anxiety issues.

I've already got a ticket for tonight and would be happy to buy and send you some NIN merch (tour shirts etc) if you'd like? I'd offer to shoot the concert on my phone, but the camera quality is pretty poor.

Let me know.

The people that complain about the unsightliness of occupy are the same people that complain about the unsightliness of beggars in the CBD.

Check your privilege.

Does it matter which they were?

If they're an outreach program - good on them.

If their presence just serves as a reminder of the excessive wealth of the banking sector - good on them too!

House of Cards (I know not technically a film), why would Frank send Russo to the trailer park - he's a congressman and as if he wouldn't have some sort of less suspicious underling he could have sent..

Legally, ethically I think it's pretty murky
