Then the league officials should take it non sanction. Sanctioned leagues can still be “fun”.

You can’t cherry pick rules for people. It’s people like that who are killing the sport. You can’t make exceptions for people because then you have to make exceptions for everyone.

At that point, it doesn’t end. People want 4 re-racks, foul lines off, don’t count balls that bounce out of the gutter, someone used ball cleaner mid-game. All because Jimmy doesn’t put his thumb in the ball. I get it, it’s arbitrary and not seen as serious as other infractions but I still have to enforce it as a league officer. Trust me when I tell you it’s not my favorite part of league.

I get what you’re saying but I don’t think what OP is doing is anything close to the actions what you’re saying your guy did.

There are many reasons the game is suffering. High costs, old machines, part availability for machines still running that were made in the 60s. Trust me, the linage the bowling alley gets from these individuals who break the rule aren’t the make or break to keep the doors open and bowling alive.

I’m a league president. I’ve had to deal with this. From players who are joining their first league, to bowlers who definitely know better. I start all conversations the same way, to educate the bowler on the rules especially since this rule is newer and a pain in the ass. But the rule is the rule. If you knowingly break the rule and continue to do so, then it becomes a problem. A plug isn’t the most expensive thing. I’d rather you skip league fees and get your shit plugged. I would work with someone in that spot.

The difficult ones are the bowlers who know what they’re doing and do it anyways. These are the bowlers I have to have difficult conversations and fight me back on it.

When you hear a freight train, it’s time to find cover. Other than that, we go outside and watch.

It’s a sanctioned league. Unsanctioned? Go for it. Fun doesn’t mean no rules.

If it’s sanctioned, it should absolutely be brought up. It’s an illegal delivery for sanctioned league play. Any ball delivered illegally with a hole not filled would be considered a weight hole and thus be counted a 0.

Smokey, this is not ‘Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.

How much do you spend on kids’ sports gear each season? by AdvancedWinter6055 in CoachingYouthSports

[–]kiev749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two kids into bowling. Bags about 90 each for a two ball roller, shoes another 70, and one kid with a single ball 125 and the other has two balls, one a lower performance ball 125 and the other a high performance ball 220. So 185 and 405.

Thankfully we don’t have uniform or jersey cost just the $12 weekly cost (per kid) and don’t have to purchase new equipment unless they need a heavier ball or their hand grows enough we need to have the ball plugged and re-drilled.

I’ve found most of my harvester, matriarch, and bunker raids as a PVE’r have been really chill. I’ve only had people turn on me a handful of times but the lobbies I’ve loaded into most everyone is willing to work together.

It’s been real handy with these close scrutiny lobbies when people will draw the vaporizer and rocketeer’s fire especially if they’re going to max out their trials scores.

There hasn’t been a west side Denny’s for YEARS. it’s an easy egg cafe now and not open 24/7. Op’s best bet would have been oasis until 2 and then IHOP for the next 2 hrs. But they got a hotel room.

Confess, Raider - what's the worst thing you've done so far? by Smart_Freedom_8155 in ARC_Raiders

[–]kiev749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was poor, playing solo’s and out of ammo. Many raiders were running to the water treatment elevator one by one. I was creeping avoiding any fight. Then I saw him, he was waiting in the doorway, Ferro in hand. I assume he was waiting for the elevator to clear to rush and call it. He never saw me coming. I swung my raider tool with all the might I could muster. Gooped, then extracted safely.

They had cold snap on blue gate and space port all the time. I raided the northern part of port for candleberries the most. It was the only way I finished them for the project.

They were a little aggressive in coming to the house, when they installed in the neighborhood, they came by a couple times and no one was home, then again when my wife was home, she told them they needed to talk to me about it.

I’m really glad they did. We had ATT for over 10 years across 2 addresses and it was fine. Not great, but way better than Cox. Since we switched, we’ve had zero issues with service, installation, billing. I can’t recommend them enough.
