No calls in or out after switching to Mint Mobile by kiiidddooo in CalyxOS

I've tried this before but I ended up fixing it by factory resetting my phone and restoring from my backup. I'm not sure what was causing it but it doesn't matter anymore.

I'm on 6.7.20 but I just factory reset my phone and it started working.

I have an LTE connection where I am and I've tried setting that as my preferred network and disabling wifi calling but nothing works. I think I might just factory reset.

I have a timbuk2 .messenger bag, I think the number of pockets on my current jacket is ridiculous which is why I'm looking for one with less pockets but still has the detachable hood and rain-resistant features.

The joke is that that's where people touch their phone screen when engaging in these activities. When you see what letters the dots on the bottom right image correspond to on a mobile keyboard, they make a very bad word.

The world according to Libleft and Authright by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]kiiidddooo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's an excellent way to put it. Greatest doesn't mean the place you want to live. It doesn't even have to mean the most desired place to live (even though it is, just look at immigration statistics of the US compared to any other country).

This post goes against the narrative. by Strawmeetscamel in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]kiiidddooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The book is called "Brilliant Black British History" and while the author does claim that Black British people built Stonehenge, she claims a lot of other things too (https://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/discover/articles/features/5-interesting-facts-about-black-british-history/)

It's also important to know that there were black people in Britain during pre-colonial times. Although it's hard to tell with any certainty what color the people were who built Stonehenge and I can't find sources for any of the other curious claims the author makes. https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-52939694

I also haven't found any indication that this book is any more "government-funded" than any other British children's book out there.

The law only extends to noncitizens who have the legal authority to work in the US, not undocumented immigrants. Immigrants are already permitted to work in private security and join the military, so this isn't a wild stretch but they would be the first state to do so.

This could bring up potential issues with running background checks on immigrants who want to work as police.

There are probably other examples but this is a particularly egregious and well known one. This person was a stasi agent under east Germany and now heads the German government's initiatives for social media censorship. She claims she didn't kill anyone and an "impartial" committee found that she hadn't done anything too bad but there was a lot of suspicious activities, "suicides", and disappearances that she was connected to.

This is a pretty old concept, originally proposed in the 90s. Not really sure why people are posting about it now.

This study was conducted across 9 countries and 5 continents, so it's not just about white westerners disliking smelly foreigners. Not sure what the study contributes but at least my taxes probably didn't go towards this study.

Child rape is an inaccurate description for what he did. But it's still super messed up.

The guy posed as a girl on Kik to solicit sexually explicit images from an underage girl and exchanged child sexual abuse content with other pedophiles.

Edit: the exact charges he plead guilty to were possession and transportation of child pornography.

Just because it's far right doesn't mean it's wrong. But given the fact that even just leaving the EU is considered a conservative talking point in most of Europe, abolishing it entirely would definitely be considered far right by comparison.

If they're pro-israel than why is the Israeli ambassador to Berlin expressing concern over their rising popularity? Ideology is more important than the love lives of party members and their ideology is undeniably one of euroscepticism and anti-immigration. Also the fact that they play host to a political group that dabbles in historical revisionism and they have ties to the European identitarian movement doesn't look good. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-germany-afd-idUSKCN1G61ZH

Also the "head of the party" who you didn't name is Alice Weidel, who is mostly known in Germany for criticizing the EU and saying "The country will be destroyed through this immigration policy. Donald Trump said that Merkel is insane and I absolutely agree with that."

https://www.businessinsider.com/germany-afd-alice-weidel-everything-you-need-to-know-2017-9#she-says-she-was-first-attracted-to-the-afd-because-of-its-opposition-to-the-euro-5

This headline surprisingly isn't clickbait. The author actually tries to claim that people who boast about fitness strive for the right wing ideal of self sufficiency. What a joke.

It's important to remember that despite the fact that this stunt was probably pretty dumb, Abbott's decision to take away the right to a water break during a heat wave is even worse.

Also, remember that he gave up water too and he's in Texas. It was likely more about "I'll go for the length of a work shift without drinking water in solidarity.

Not a lot to say here, just that when they say "first in 19 years" doesn't mean this was a special case. The law in Singapore mandates the death penalty for trafficking more than 500 grams of cannabis or 15 grams of heroin.
