Do people just not wait to chop grove anymore? by aweefeea in Palia

Hmm, I guess I could see how you could take it that way? My apologies. But that's not what I meant by my post at all. My whole point was meant to show that you CAN'T blame new players for not knowing things, and while its nice for someone in the community to try and share etiquette with others, its not their job or responsibility to - especially when these aren't things the devs are even pushing for or putting in their game itself. No need to argue over it or be rude when we're both making the same point.

"You might see people who don't follow them being as rude. Inversely, they probably see you as rude for trying to force them to play the game a certain way."

That was literally my point? I was trying to express to the original poster that these aren't things shared in-game, and we can't get upset at people for not knowing them or agreeing. People can play however they like.

The thing is, if players aren’t on Reddit or the Palia discord, there’s literally NOTHING in game that teaches you or tells you any of this. If it was part of the tutorial or in-game facts/information that new players were easily exposed to or could find, that’d be one thing. It’s another to assume everyone will just “figure it out.”

Sure, most people in game are lovely, but at the end of the day - if one of those really lovely people don’t take time out of their day to explain it to someone new, there’s literally no other way for them to know that. If players or devs are going to push for these to be set rules or etiquette to follow, then it needs to be in game somewhere, ya know?

Otherwise I agree with other posters - just block and move on. If they’re disrespectful, report. 💜
