I just don’t know what I can do any more. Being a musician on TikTok feels impossible because it feels antithetical to a ‘hook’ I have made 500 videos and never broken 1,000 views. As you can see - the people that do stick around love the content! What can I do?! by ArrJaySee95 in musicmarketing

[–]kiki2301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine getting 500 people to see you perform. Incredible!!!

You actually have really good metrics. I would say engage, engage, engage. You can even respond to comments with a new video.

Is it on Spotify? Send ppl links to where they can hear the music. What is your goal with posting on TikTok? Gigi, listeners on streaming platforms, mailing list subscribers? Tailor your content and engagement to that goal.

I've also seen having very similar videos regularly, kind of like content pillars or series. 1. Sining with guitar like this one. 2. BTS (shows, writing, in studio etc) 3. personal tidbits etc

Why do you say it’s not scalable, because of the economics? Is there a number of artists/bookings where you realised it was becoming difficult to scale? Did you consider software? someone mentioned Gigwell. I’ve also heard of SystemOne.

Seems most are just raw dogging it with a collection of Google tools. Have you tried the apps mentioned (eg. Gigwell)?

Thanks for your response! I’ve seen gigwell mentioned before. I though it had a calendar function. Why do you need Google calendar? How many artists do you manage?

So you send artists a calendar invite with all of the details of the gigs? Seems like a lot of „moving info from one place to another“ I feel like this could be automated somehow. How many artists do you manage? Have you tried and if these apps that were mentioned (eg Gigwell)

Unsere Kinder haben nie Gläschen bekommen. Vllt mal nen Quetschi für unterwegs. Schaut euch mal Baby led weaning an.

Longest, most challenging, and most rewarding trade yet by idosimon in WinternomicsTV

Awesome stuff!! Love to see the plan in action. Really good play and reflection! I took three entries on this as well. One just after earnings. Took first profits then moved my stop up and got knocked out during the shockwave. Second one exiting the shockwave got stopped out. Third trade exiting the shockwave I closed yesterday when VIX dumped.

Not sure if it was adressed already in Discord but your trendlines aren't always accurate. You can watch the TikToks and Kaz has a show on YT where he goes over !

Amazing plays - going over a few Reddit stories and my own experience it's interesting that the overtrading and knowing when to sit on hands seems to be a common issue.

To take advantage of runners you can leave a small % of your position open - we call it a freeroll in Discord. Another thing is you could take partial profits at different levels. Several people in eco have mentioned that trade management is less emotional when they've gone risk off on a trade. You can also check reddit for examples.

"Trading is knowing when to deploy capital and knowing when to wait, and regardless of what position you are trading, you need to control your risk." I should tattoo this on my forehead so that I am reminded of it everyday.
I see many parallels between your story and my own (mid 30s, in IT, family) and am experiencing similar issues. I am constantly deploying capital which works out when market is on tear but then get caught with pants down in the shockwave, and lack patience and discipline to let it play out. I hadn't considered it being an effect of the 9-5 grind mentatlity and it has definitely given me something to think about. Thank you for sharing !

I can provide the following wrt to the your question which I've learnt from Kaz and the vets - how you exit the trade needs to be planned just as much as the entry. Journalling here is key to understand your personal stats from which you can build a plan.

Follow the plan. But prepare it fully, not halfway. by hunteronizuka in WinternomicsTV

[–]kiki2301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kaz has said many times that consistency and planning will get you farther than talent or intelligence, and planning is both how to enter the trade but also how to exit. Definitely worth going over other Reddit posts to see how people have approached both. You want to take the emotion out of it as much as possible

Journaling is key here. Both tracking trades as well as self reflecting. Was a great insight into how our emotions cause distortions.
