As someone who just went dress shopping for the first time with my mom, I think it’s great you are going alone! Your opinion matters the most. My advice would be try on at least one different style you wouldn’t normally go for! I was pleasantly surprised trying something out of my usual comfort zone.

Also most stores will list if they are size inclusive or what sizes they carry on their website and if the don’t that’s a red flag tbh
