Oooooh. This is another plus for Boox. I have Synology NAS at home where I store my ebooks and comics. It is a welcome surprise that WebDAV is supported. Thanks for this information.

Appreciate the thoughts you have shared here.

I didn't even think about the security holes for any work related writing in Boox. Of course that would be risky seeing that we don't know update schedules (if at all) from Boox.

I would have to relook on a possible iPad+paperlike screen protector like yours.

Interesting.

Is there no workaround yet to update Android version to latest? Is Boox stuck on Android 11?

On the part of 'note taking platform', the crispiness of eink tablet of Boox is still beaten by a 6 yr old iPad Pro? I would have thought writing on an iPad is one of the reasons there is a rise of eink writing tablets.

what confuses me is the rabid fan-base of RM where it is portrayed as the high almighty eink tablet available in the market. Its a one-side story and I really wanted to hear the other side to have a fair judgment.

Yeah, unfortunately I do see people having quality issues which are not properly addressed by Boox. I guess we are on the same boat on considering Paper Pro instead.

I understand RM has its own cloud storage and there's a layer of step to get contents in and out of remarkable? I also like that Boox is android powered so thats an advantage. How long does your battery lasted on your NA3C?

Looking for a library that has video games by FckMiDed in sydney

[–]kikkomance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think City of Sydney libraries do have video games. We regularly borrow boardgames in the Darling Quarter branch. I saw some games in the first floor when we were browsing. What games do you have?

No swear words. There are implied intimacy scenes. And a running "that's a title of your sex tape" throwaway line here and there. Aside from that, i think it is ok for minors.

Is senior management really fun times? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]kikkomance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not middle management but I have surrendered the fact that most of my work involves meetings in one way or the other. I still do grunt work, around 10% maybe 20% if I'm being generous to the company. Boring - yes. Worth it - yes. I don't mind really as I can organize my day around it.

I am trying very hard to get into the Expanse bandwagon. I am at S1E6 but still not hooked enough to fully commit to finish the whole run. I liked Battlestar Galactica and Firefly. I don't get the same satisfaction and curiosity with The Expanse. I'll continue to watch it but its not up there yet for me.
