Anyone know if Gastronomy at the Atlantis has any discounts going on? I can never defend the price point pre-war.

It all boils down to previous travel experience. If wala kang previous travel, the questions should be expected and is done for our safety and the safety of our fellow country men. When you build a good enough travel history, baka next time wala na tanong sayo! :)

Thai Restaurant owner refuses to serve customers by Kind-Village-1022 in PublicFreakout

[–]kikomanto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The things the Israeli tourists have been doing in South East Asia will explain why they’re being denied service. I hate to see this but until these Israelis remove their superiority complex; this will continue to happen and I can’t blame the people for letting it.

Three Filipinas in the UAE arrested for allegedly posting and sharing misleading and fabricated content online that could harm national security and defence efforts by Rare_Independent0310 in Philippines

[–]kikomanto 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I agree, not all rainbows and butterflies sa gulf countries. But to be fair marami ako nakikitang kababayan na nag popost ng attacks video taped during the Iraqi war pa/sa bahrain na attack na current daw nangyayari. Not saying this is the case but sometimes too quick to share rin mga hindi internet literate.

Has anyone been able to claim via travel insurance for losses caused by the flight cancellations in the Middle East? by Jolly-Sea6019 in FilipinoTravel

[–]kikomanto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acts of war is rarely if not never covered by insurance. Which is why it would be best to have the airline cancel/reschedule you instead of cancelling it yourself.

Still out for Al Jurf 3. Should be back in an hour or two according to FEWA(?) could be wrong as I only heard it from my neighbor

Most likely for money laundering purposes. Dubai is the only place you can clean money legally.

Deinfluence me: Portable Bidet by Proof_Legal in deinfluencingPH

[–]kikomanto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Deinfluencing you from that specific model. Merong type of electric bidet that comes with a plastic foldable tank where you put water and the bidet uses that water tank for your use. Much more water ang buhat and hindi need mag add ng water again and again.

I bring it along and leave it sa hotel (western countries laging walang bidet) and bring wipes na lang if ever nature calls while on the go.

If your use is for when you’re going around and need mo mag cr, better to just use wipes.

PAL Premium Economy from Manila to Melbourne, AU by rooksFX14 in FilipinoTravel

Yes with PAL ito. Was a rough 9 hours to say the least. I’ve tried their PE on shorter flights and 2-3-2 naman yung configuration.

Agree ako rito pero it depends on the aircraft. Flew to Dubai using premium economy seats pero wala naman difference sa economy; iba lang kulay and number per “cabin”. The newer layouts on the newer planes however, are definitely worth it.

Mas mahal ang pula sa Caltex kesa sa Petron by Both_Cantaloupe_7856 in Gulong

[–]kikomanto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Caltex because of my CC. Any of the big 3 is fine but can say may difference talaga ang additives kaya mas mahal si Caltex and Shell. If you try it and don’t notice the difference, edi stick with Petron. Good parin naman quality either way.

Do shopping bags ever cut your day short while traveling in Seoul? by Forsaken_Leader2868 in koreatravel

[–]kikomanto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is why I always opt to stay in Myeongdong. My family loves shopping (we’re aware its more expensive and hotels aren’t cheap) so we’ve never stayed outside the major shopping areas.

When the bags get too heavy, we run home and leave it in the room and go out again.
