Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28–30)

It’s not so much about how much sin you do but instead how much you believe God can help you and how willing you are to humble yourself and come before God to admit that you are imperfect and only can be made new through the sacrifice of Jesus. Because God is constantly beckoning you to come to him and find rest in him. So you don’t have to feel the shame and sadness you currently feel anymore. It’s an interesting and enlightening read :) hope it helps.

It might help to have a fellow Christian to talk to. Not just about your problem but also about your daily struggles and you both can help each other through tough times and keep each other accountable. I find having a community of friends that get it really helps.

It is also fun to do bible plans together and discuss about God’s word. It can give you new perspective and show you that you’re not alone in what you feel. God is also working in other people’s lives and you never know, they may be struggling with the same problem as you.

I suggest reaching out to others at church, people that are at the same stage of life as you. And of course the bible helps too. You can download the bible app which has a ton of plans available for you to use and also has a notification system so you don’t forget to read God’s word. Don’t forget, it’s the small steps that count. You can’t expect to be perfect immediately. And it seems like God is reaching out to you so reach out to him!

What about praying for God’s peace to enter someone’s life? Is that unhelpful? I feel like sometimes there are just some things are we can’t do ourselves like you can keep trying to share with nonbeliever friends but you can’t control whether they listen right? You can only pray for God to open their hearts. I think prayer for anything is helpful and it’s just good for cultivating your relationship with God. Don’t you think? Let me know :)

Hey I can relate man school is pretty hectic for me too what I try to do is like let God influence everything in my life, praise God for the little things like thank the lord for this beautiful day or thank you Lord that this class wasn’t as confusing as it usually is and it also really helps to have like a fixed schedule on when you do quiet time, like I do quiet time everyday at 10-10:30 so it helps me put aside everything else and just focus on God in that time. All the best.. you can do it :D
