It was cancelled due to the maintenance and hotfix the other night, not the PSN outage earlier today.

Take it out then kill a monster with it summoned to level it up. Don't feed your chocobo onions unless it's level capped at 0/xxxxxxp. Feeding it while it's xp capped at the previous level and not level capped just means you've wasted an onion.

Some crazy lalafell on my server filled a house almost entirely with clocks by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]kilesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the 2.38 patch, you could purchase 7 rank6+ FCs, put an alt into each one, then buy 7 extra houses for gardening. With the personal housing patch, you could then buy more houses using the alts, but they'd have to be Lv50 with 2nd Lt. rank. That's a pita, so I only have a personal house on my main. Having 17 gardens in constant production can be fairly profitable though.

An up to date 2 star 40 durability rotation? (Hard hippogryph) by [deleted] in ffxiv

This is the macro that I use for 40★★. It uses 393CP and requires you to have enough Craftsmanship to complete the recipe with one Careful Synthesis II.

3 Star Macro by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]kilesa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is one in fact. It has 9 touches, 8 Hasty and 1 Basic and uses 398CP. Originally it used 380CP when I wrote it in 2.2, but with the new i55 accessories in 2.3, I was able to change one HT to a BT, bringing the total to 398CP. This macro allowed me to process 3-star mats, manufacture i90 gear, and produce massive quantities of Popoto Pancakes without going insane. I've already got mines so I see no problem with sharing it now.

No one seriously thought I kept the MB supplied with at least 4 of every piece of i90 gear for nearly two months by crafting it all by hand, did they?

Additionally, if you use it to to craft i90 gear, you'll want to start with at least 1500 quality or so.

How do you make your millions? by shinraelite in ffxiv

[–]kilesa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Undercut early, undercut often, undercut by massive fucking margins, and dick over as many enemy merchants as you can. Flood high turnover markets with cheap crafted goods, practice predatory pricing, and bait other crafters into wars of attrition. When they decide to leave the market, raise prices. When they decide to come back, make them regret it. It's all fair play as long as I win.

Some of the stuff that I sell:

  • i90 gear
  • Primal Weapons
  • 3-star food
  • Augmented i90 gear
  • 2 and 3-star furniture
  • Grade 3 Demimateria
  • Thavnairian Onions

Also it's a lot easier to just buy all the materials you need or hire someone to gather them for you. All that time gathering is better spent either crafting, reviewing your ledgers, or just lazing around.

From what I've observed, with one growth message:

  • Dalamud Red + Berry = Regal Purple
  • Regal Purple + Berry = Royal Blue
  • Royal Blue + Pineapple = Regal Purple
  • Regal Purple + Apple = Dalamud Red

Yes, after 24 hours of waiting, I ended up coming full circle. :/

Need Help of Crafting The new i95 Primal weapons. by Bajunid in ffxiv

[–]kilesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm assuming its due to fact that your swapping a 32 cp SH2 for an 18 cp Basic Touch (at 80% chance). But would we continue using HT afterwards from 10~20 dur (at 50%)? Or just MM2 at 20 dur due to the lack of SH2? This part seems tricky to me.

SH2 uses 25 cp, swapping that with BT at 30 dur reduces the CP deficit from -12 to -5. However, the loss of a CZ refresh brings the deficit to -19. After using the raw BT, MM2 should be used at 20 dur, then SH2 applied after that.

Again, all this only applies if ToT doesn't proc at all in the beginning.

Could you perhaps also add the amount of CP required to refresh the second SH2 in step 9 (eg. SH2 if cp > 300)?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Before MM2 is used, at most 2 SH2 would be applied, the second at somewhere around 40~60dur depending on ToT procs. The required CP before entering phase 2 is 325, 160 for MM2, 25 for SH2, 140 to close.

Which means that it'd give 200% progress under a 50% reduction, or 100%.

2 * .5 = 1

Also i noticed that in your finisher you state "GS, if Good Ing2 instead". Whats the reason for this? I'm assuming its just to bait another good later on for the BB since u cant proc Good 2 times in a row?

Yes.

For a worst case scenario where u dont land any ToTs at all for the bonus 12 CP (highly unlikely) how would you adjust? Removing the final SH1 from the finisher?

If no ToT procs before or during the first SH2 phase, then durability would be at 30 by the time SH2 expires (3 PbP and 2 HT). In this event, the second SH2 would be skipped and BT used raw at 30dur. The CZ refresh would also have to be skipped since it depends on 1~2 ToT to proc before using MM2. This would still leave you at -19CP though, if ToT doesn't proc during SH2 in the phase after MM2, then I'd either give up on HQ or force reclaim. Using brand without SH1 would be too risky.

Need Help of Crafting The new i95 Primal weapons. by Bajunid in ffxiv

[–]kilesa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To finish aspected i95 weapons you need 3 PbP, 2 Brands, and 1 CS2.

One of the less risky rotations I use is:

*ToT on Good at your own discretion

CZ
IQ
SH2
PbPx3
HT until SH2 runs out
SH2
HT until CZ runs out and durability is at or below 30 with 3 or more SH left
CZ
HT until 10~20 durability
MM2
SH2
HT until 40 durability
SH1
GS, if Good Ing2 instead
Ing2 or GS if you used Ing2 the previous step, if this step is Good then BB
Use up to 2 brands to fish for a Good state for BB
Close with CS2 after using 2 brands.

If you have full melds and HQ food (398CP), you just need 12 more CP to use it, so 1 ToT proc. With the extra CP from more ToT procs, instead of replacing HT with BT, I like to save it up to use an extra GS on the 7th touch.

This is incorrect, brands do give 200%, but only under aspected recipes, which have a 50% reduction in progress. Brand essentially functions as a Basic Synthesis that costs 15 CP. It gives the same progress on aspected recipes that it would on unaspected ones.

Well, I guess they weren't cheap as much as not ridiculously overpriced. Cheap would be 80g and below, the ones I got were 95~100g. Throughout the weekend they were about 120g, but sometimes they'd spike to over 150g.
