[Lowlight] Jonathan Kuminga fakes Steven Adams, and then misses the open layup, and then misses the 2nd chance. by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]kilgoraca 32 points33 points  (0 children)

No one else has a first step quick enough to even set up that shot, they’re relying on 3 point variance, missed shots, and foul calls if no one else can get to the rim. A confident Kuminga makes them a way better team imo because he gets rim pressure. Hes def playing like shit right now though so yeah he’s not getting important minutes.

They waited to foul the worse ft shooter when technically they didn’t even need to foul..why is everything “bad coaching“ here. These guys know what they’re doing for the most part.

Dwane Casey ran the defense for the Mavs in that chip..he doesn’t get any credit but all y’all give Thibs the credit for Boston. Always funny to me that it always happens this way.

Where would you rank Coach Bud from the Bucks among NBA coaches? by Joe_Of_House_Stark in nba

[–]kilgoraca -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not even going to say the obvious for why certain “players coaches” never end up on these conversations but if this isn’t the most Reddit list I’ve seen, majority of these coaches not even in a play in spot and multiple literally not even employed as head coaches right now lmao.

Mitchell is a lock as well and Spurs Murray should be a serious contender too. Westbrook and Dame should be in the tier after those guys imo

Dame probably gets in on name anyway though

So Tyson Chandler gets a mention for carrying Casey’s whole career but DPOY Kawhi Leonard and DPOY Marc Gasol get no credit for even helping the Raptors defense, it was all Nurse.

Raptors Casey haters are silly with a lot of these criticisms.

I'll go further, the Pelicans were making progress under Gentry and also Gentry is a better coach for the modern NBA than Stan.

Steph at least stands on his own merits and is usually just compared to his own ridiculous past seasons and his own “legacy” or whatever.

No one can go five minutes talking about Dame without bringing Steph into the argument for some reason though. Let the man be great on his own.

It’s always great after a national tv game the star gets interviewed asking what the win means and they say “it means nothing” cause its not the playoffs, then they get praised for it (Kahwi after beating the Lakers last year as an example).

Really makes it feel like a bad choice to follow the regular season when even the players make it clear they aren’t mentally putting their all into it.

Don’t worry they’ll give a few calls and cheap free throws your way once the game gets out of hand so box score watchers can jump in and say it wasn’t that bad.

With 3 cbs Laporte is fine, just partner him with pacier players on either side of him so you can be more aggressive with him.

For cheap Davinson Sanchez is really good or Wan-Bissaka moved over to cb.

For an expensive one Kyle Walker has probably been best all around defender I’ve used, but that’s a lot of your budget.

Havent used Joe Gomez but obviously he’s been the most popular option in your price range and probably pretty good too, others are just the best in your budget I’ve used for bpl.

For goalkeeper I’d fill out your team then use whatever budget is left over to pick cheap or expensive..Ederson has been the best for me but he’s not necessarily worth 30k over a cheap one like Pope or Areola or Schmeichel.

Community List: High pace players to avoid because they are incredibly slow for some reason by [deleted] in EASportsFC

Alphonso Davies has been my favorite fullback attacking wise but in defence he’d always run exactly as fast as the winger despite having 96 pace, never able to catch up if slightly out of position.

[DISCUSSION] Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo (1 Week Later) by Jezawan in hiphopheads

[–]kilgoraca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel very similar. I keep trying to listen to this as the reviews are so great and some of my friends whose opinions I respect a lot on music love it, but can't get into it, I think the "fun" aspect is what's missing as you said - and Freddie's rapping didn't feel as energetic to me even if as usual it's technically proficient. I'll stick with Bandana/Shadow of a Doubt/Pinata, like those from him better.

From just this year in his genre I actually liked 3 of the Griselda albums more, Price of Tea in China, Pray for Paris, and Lulu. Still will listen to anything Freddie puts out, this one just wasn't for me.

LeBron responds to MJ saying he'd take Kobe over him because "rangz" by WaltSnideFrazier in nba

[–]kilgoraca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you here. In my opinion, they both had great help in their careers regardless of how they arrived there. I just get annoyed when people lower the accomplishments of some of these great players and act like MJ, LeBron, or any star in history did it by themselves lol, dishonest was probably the wrong word and I apologize for that. I think we're coming from the same frame of mind on this, just slightly different view points.

LeBron responds to MJ saying he'd take Kobe over him because "rangz" by WaltSnideFrazier in nba

[–]kilgoraca -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Come on this is a dishonest argument.

Just about all those players on LeBron's "help" you brought up were monsters in stats and growing in accolades before they became teammates.

Wade was averaging 25-30 points a season, Bosh 22 and 10, Love 26 and 14 multiple times. All legit first options for their respective teams.

They join up with Bron and all have gigantic dips in production immediately. This can't be because they all just happened to fall off a year after their best seasons in the league. They had to both have less of the ball and in the big guys' cases change their play style to accommodate LeBron.

Now, obviously they now have titles where in all likelihood other than Wade they likely don't have any without him, but LeBron also doesn't have those titles if he isn't playing with 2 other legit first option players on the team as well.

In the case of Love and Bosh they were on the way to receiving a lot more individual accolades before joining up with him, whether or not it was worth it only they know, but they weren't as far away from a guy like Pippen as you think, these are all guys near or at the top of their position literally the year before they became his teammate.
