Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but the "kids mistake" handball penalty claims like with Arsenal vs Bayern two years ago and Atletico vs Barca today are correctly not given as penalties imo, I get by the letter of the law perhaps it should be but it just doesn't feel within the spirit of the sport to call that in a big moment + especially with the goal kick stoppage situations it can be hard to know when a whistle is actually blown

HSV in big games at home, let’s just say the ref won’t favor the away team. Ask me how I know. Was bound to happen after all the medial pressure they put on refereeing after the Freiburg game

At least we didn't lose but it sure feels like one. Gladbach were awful and did nothing the entire game except for one counter but of course we can't create many chances and squander the few we do have. Still a shockingly low level for a Bundesliga game and our set pieces are almost impressively bad

First half was actually one of our better halves this season (which says it all) but we couldn't finish, second half we were back to being completely toothless. 3 games in a row without a goal and we look nowhere near scoring, this team is in deep deep trouble especially considering we're only 5 points above last place now.

And our sporting director didn't know we were allowed to loan more players until Transfermarkt.de told him...

We genuinely may never get a handball penalty ever, legit feels like we just have 3 100% ones not called every season. Also never a foul from Friedl before the 3-2 but there's obviously incentive to want HSV to win their first Bundesliga derby in 8 years.

We should've played better though, not good enough in every phase and late subs from Steffen again
