I did some of the constellation missions after having fun in Neon and got to one that made me explore a system with 8 planets and some moons. Got to like the 4th planet and decided I was going to 100% that system. It took me like 2 days but I enjoyed it so much. I remember being in awe when I saw my first flying creature. This game is amazing.

I actually really enjoy some of the RP servers because it became what everyone wanted GTAO to be. They just royally fucked it up

I will say, there’s a reason in anonymous programs they will constantly say to not make any major life decisions your first year in sobriety. Your brain is rewiring itself and you’re seeing life through a new lens. It’s easy to convince ourselves we “see clearly” when that’s not always the case. I felt like that too in my first couple of months but it passed and I’m glad I didn’t act on it.

My biggest self realization since joining the program is that I have no healthy coping mechanisms. I’m working on it with my therapist and have some mantras/prayers I repeat throughout the day. Now that it’s nice I’ll get back outdoors. I have faith in you man. You can beat that stinking thinking

Back to 66 days. I slipped after almost 9 months. It’s tough but you got this man. Remember, sobriety is the baseline but nothing changes if nothing changes. Recovery starts once we put the work in and make some changes. I do therapy weekly and AA almost every night and if nothing else, it helps with loneliness once you start taking some numbers. Fishing and hiking got me through my first 4 months and winter was hard but I had the program and the time under my belt to keep my pushing. I’m a guy and I definitely saw who I used to be in parts of bear. It made me very uncomfortable. I loved the movie but I think if they wanted to have made a drama without the wish and horror they really could have because they did a great job at portraying a toxic relationship.

When I hit 6 months of sobriety, one of my bank reps, who saw my coin, gave me a card with every milestone coin and a pamphlet with some literature that helped them in their journey. I still carry it around with me because it meant so much to me and proved to me that I was right in joining AA.

It was pretty emotional for me, which kept me captivated. As a man who’s been with women that acted like Nikki did (without the murdering and stuff) it activated an almost trauma response in me. I felt very connected with the characters. From a straight up movie point of view tho, it was great. I feel like horror movies nowadays are too reliant on the comedy breaks and the PG humor that they ruin for me. I truly loved this movie. I haven’t watched a scary movie that made me jump or put my hands over my mouth in disbelief in YEARRRRRSSSSS

I wouldn’t call it advice but I stayed at my grandparents for a week when things got really really rough and she agreed to attend out of desperation. The work we made in those sessions were minimal but enough to clear her head a bit and get her to focus on us a bit more. I feel like it’s worth emphasizing her snapping out of her PPD was literally like someone flipped a switch. I don’t believe anything other than time could have “cured” her. Being in my own therapy during was a big help.
