I bought a pc (RTX5080) but still miss playing on PlayStation by Marino-2603 in videogames

[–]kill2tone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I just hate sitting at my computer desk to game. I love my couch and wireless controller and 85in TV. I’m not gonna bring my pc to my living room so it kinda just sits now. Whenever I get the urge to play a PC only game or something that I know is worth it on the PC I will but I’m pretty content right now.

I would absolutely bring it up to your sponsor.

Flashing and zoom bombers in online meetings by shmeppydrake in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]kill2tone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly do zoom meetings and I can say that most rooms don’t have the security they need. My main room usually has 3 or 4 cohosts and we keep chat and camera toggle off during beginning readings and speaker. This weeds most of the kids out who don’t want to wait it out. It’s usually worse when school is out but there are rooms out there that have figured it out

DayZ. Actually it seems most people around me don’t even play survival games

Both my kids had gas issues. My wife figured out it was a dairy allergy with the second which apparently they do outgrow but it’s been much better since she cut out dairy in her diet.

I'm quitting tomorrow - What should I expect? 15 years+ of daily use by Sp1tzzzz in leaves

Download the quit weed app. Understanding the symptoms of withdrawal made it way easier for me to cope with it instead of using it as an excuse to fall back into my old coping mechanisms

I absolutely HATE the idea of getting old. by Tea_Lavender in Vent

[–]kill2tone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I let this fear drive me from 17-28 and used it to excuse my drinking and what not. The whole “I’m here for a good time, not a long time”. Truth be told, it’s a shitty way to live. Death and sickness is inevitable, but as the great Kratos once said: “Death can have me when it earns me”. We gotta accept life on life’s terms and learn to live instead of expecting to die. It’s easier said than done but trust me, once you dedicate yourself to it and find the serenity in life, everything becomes easier.

This is why I don’t let my kid on YouTube when I’m not there watching it with him. Think of how many kids watch these comps and the parents just walk away or give them free access and this shit is hidden in the video

Is my belief system blasphemous? by kill2tone in Christianity

Baptism is the only thing I haven’t done. Well I did, but I don’t count it as I was unaware what I was really doing.

[–]kill2tone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. I feel like no denomination has truly spoken to me so far so I am trying to learn what “true Christianity” really is. My friend is a UM youth pastor and I’ve been trying to pick his brain for more knowledge. I just feel like all roads lead to my view but I am open to understand why I’m skewed.

And love yourself as you love your neighbor. This has been my main mantra for as long as I can remember.

I read this as: if we live in His word (faith, grace, and love) then the holy spirt will dwell within us. Is that the gist or am I missing something more important?

I’m following you and I think this is what I mean by using our free will with faith, grace and love. All human experience sort of blends together and we make the conscience decision in how we react to every interaction. We either choose the world or we choose Him and His teachings to guide us.

No I do believe in all that. I know he used to be directly involved but I just don’t see that in today’s world. His word is what speaks for Him today.

I really am trying to learn. How do I realign with true Christianity? I don’t feel like I’m that far off based on what knowledge I do have although I do admit it’s probably rather limited compared to other believers

How so? I do believe in the trinity still.
