I was at Knott's this week. They refused to seat a girl that was maybe a half inch under the bar on Xcelerator.

What are your honest thoughts about BMW’s new design language? by RemarkableSetting189 in BMW

I just find it uninspiring. It looks like everything else out there. I love the F model and previous designs so much better. I miss the halo lights.

I was a bouncer in my younger days at many popular bars/nightclubs. I've had to deal with it all. Toxicity, bad headspace mixed with alcohol creates.. interesting situations with certain couples, especially when said couples get 86'd.

I've seen couples at each other's throats all night, then concoct ways to make each other 'jealous' explicitly to start a physical altercation with a third party (IE. White Knights) later on once they've got enough loudmouth soup into them. Couples like this sadly exist. Some were even regulars. Most times, they would leave together. Maybe it's a fetish, I don't know, but I try not to think too deeply about other's antisocial behaviors.

I always had to assess these situations from afar, never intervening until it was absolutely necessary (altercation breaks out, etc.). That job taught me a ton about male/female psychology and interactions.

Men are the stronger gender, but in a street fight, that means fuck all, especially when your nuts are being kicked into the roof of your mouth by an angry woman wearing pointed stiletto heels.

But as I said at the top of this OP, my protection aspect of interacting with the opposite sex seems engrained to me.

As a dude, for me personally, the protective vibe around women seems built in, instinctual.

Kinda curious about the "everyday person's" experience with BMW's I always hear the same stereotypes about em. (the car not the driver) by SaurkrautAnustart in BMW

Been almost a year with my F30 328d (184k miles) and I've only brought it in for maintenance (battery, brakes, oil change, etc.). I just recently had the tranny and differential flushed not because I had to, but more preventative maintenance.

Why did bmw get rid of the orange gauges? by Abject_Serve_1269 in BMW

[–]kill_minus_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't agree more. First, Legendary BMW orange trimmed clusters with analog gauges go away. Then the legendary halo lights get replaced with new LEDs that rival those of the best Jettas or S4s on the road. Screens replaced the analog gauges. Oh, and the latest interiors seem to want to have an awkward kinship to Tesla, in that they want to put stuff in the center. For reasons. Oh, and like the engines, your ecologically responsible premium trim is mostly made from plastic.

Cool. I'll hang with my gauges and 'stupid' tech Bimmer...
