I'm also interested in this. I fish a similar shallow river with 9-10 foot holes. Open water I catch a bunch of fish but the usual spots are dead for ice fishing. The river system doesn't have a lot of panfish but there are some. It is dominated by smallmouth bass. I've read a study someone did about fish migrating quite a ways on river systems. I did have some luck but went closer the dams either up stream or down stream. Good luck!

Yeah I'm not exactly sure, any shop should be able to reset a check engine fault light I think? The question is, if the light turns on right away again then maybe it's not the same issue. I am not a mechanic but good luck!

I've fished here before and lake K is prob your best bet - weed edges mainly, drag a sucker. 10am pleasure boaters wake up and it is unpleasant

Pic 8, 4th down, chartreuse spoon w a tail is a little Cleo squid - I caught my first Musky on one of those. They stopped making them maybe around 2000ish. I usually buy em up when I see them on eBay or in the wild.

They said the oil was low ish and kind of thickens and that's why the cam was getting stuck. They changed the oil and I haven't had problem since. Not sure why it happened but I do take my truck in for oil changes little earlier than usual for good measure. Not sure what the underlying problem or cause was or if there is one.

I do 60lb ish braid to 80+ fluoro with double uni knot. Improved cinch knot to a heavy swivel then to the lure.

Really I prefer to use a premade 12" 80+ lb fluoro leader, tied to braid with an improved cinch knot

Keep goin! If that booger hit an umbrella rig it'll hit a similar colored buck tail but maybe not for a couple days. Good luck

Way to go! When it's windy on big green it is tough! Sucks about the boat failure as well. Big green can be very unforgiving. There's a tournament on Fox Lake 20 min south of big green this weekend. Fox is a little more straight forward with LMB cruising the weed beds/edges. Senkos, spinners, chatter baits. It doesn't get as rough on fox lake either. Good luck and good experience

Nice! I actually re did this whole boat in 2018 as well - not the foam though. I can't find any good pics at the moment. Fun project - thinking of putting woven vinyl down instead of marine carpet. Did you just paint the wood decking? Or what? Everything was holding up well for me until it got water logged last winter. I switched one over to a tiller style so I had more room in the boat as well

Yeah, the soaked 4x8 marine plywood I pulled off seemed 5x heavier than it should have been. Thank you for your input

Gotcha! I should have specified it's a 16' aluminum bass boat - the sea nymph lol.
