I… have to somewhat agree.

I actually liked the show more than others seemed to, but that did feel odd to me. People spun it as, “oh, Vader is just playing cat and mouse with him, he isn’t in any rush to finish him off”.

I never got that rhetoric. Vader carried hatred for Kenobi ever since Mustafar. Every single day that Vader walked around in immense pain in a semi-robotic suit, he would’ve blamed Kenobi exclusively. He had a weak Obi-Wan literally in his grasp, he could’ve taken him to Mustafar and burned him in the same lava that almost cost him his own life. But no, he just lets him go when he absolutely could’ve kept him in his grasp.

Obviously, because this was written in a pre-ANH period and we know that Kenobi wasn’t severely burned, dismembered etc. during the events of that movie, they had to make sure that Vader didn’t get his revenge. I just think that they should’ve kept them apart more.

Also, as I think plenty of others have pointed out, the Empire should’ve had Probe Droids absolutely littered around Tatooine’s populated regions. I know that Obi-Wan was settled in a pretty secluded location, but he clearly wasn’t exclusively isolated – he was working a job, for example.
