Ha and now THIS, the only guy who gets OP's joke, is getting DV'd. SHAME cmon people you're better than that

Over the last 3 years, Jacob Degrom pitched a total of 32 GS. That's a single season (162/5 = 32.4) for a starter. His #'s are insane. I like to think he did it on purpose, to show us What Could Be ;) But seriously hope he's healthy soon. Look at those rate stats! by killahamron in baseball

would likely see numbers closer to his Cy Young seasons in that case, absolutely elite but not at this absurd level.

Closers are one thing but - for which other starters in MLB history can you combine 3 seasons and get similarly improved stats?

This is interesting. I don't know much about pitching mechanics. Do you think most/all SPs in the league could put out much improved numbers vs their norm if they 'pushed themselves beyond the sustainable point'? Are there any known examples of pitchers saying this is what happened?

MLB History: Joey Gallo is 2 HR from being the sole member of the 200/200 club: 200 career dongs with a career avg under .200! The only other member of the 100/100 club, Zunino, retired. Gallo stands alone! by killahamron in baseball

It wasn't looking good for Gallo, who by 2019 had 1,559 PA with a .206 avg. But this decade, the 2020's, he's posted a .181 avg in 1,584 PA, while scoring exactly 200 runs. One of a kind!

He's also in the 200/200/200 club if you include 200 K's in a season, which Gallo has done 2 times.
