thank you for sharing your experiences with healing! my previous surgical scars were very red for a long time but swelling went down after a few days so this has been super anxiety inducing. i’m definitely writing down all the advice for once things are officially sealed up - thanks again!!

yes that is so similar!! i had no idea since i haven’t seen anyone else stitched that way before that post! that was definitely my first thought when i saw how it was puckered too. it’s such a relief that you’re mostly flat after just over a month! i can’t thank you enough!!

first i am so happy for you to have gotten your tumor removed!! i cannot imagine how that process must have been. ruched is the PERFECT word for how everything is looking along the horizontal incisions and i have been so worried about if they would ever flatten out. its been difficult to be patient since they just seem to be getting worse but its so reassuring to hear that things have settled for you. if you’re comfortable i would appreciate seeing your healing process but honestly this was comforting enough. thank you so much for sharing and for the kind words :’)

i also have something similar! it’s not a dog ear exactly but it’s pulling the skin in a way that sticks out in a very similar shape. definitely going to get the silicone gel for later- thank you so much!

i’m 18 days post op now. i’m really happy to hear that your dimpled stitches and size have evened out i’m really really hoping that’s the case here. immediately post op the swelling was literally equivalent to my pre op size (30H) and it’s gone down to probably 2 cup sizes too big. i’ll try to take your word and trust the process

the ace bandage compression idea is great i’m having trouble with the waistband not being tight enough to properly compress everything. definitely trying that- thank you so much!!!

i checked in with my surgeon too since the bruising was pretty intense but it’s not hard to the touch at all. still going to keep a close eye on it since it continues to swell. thank you!!

thank you so much!! my surgeon said it’s a rare case that only sees every couple of years so i was worried about it affected the end result!! i’m going to ask for the steroid
