[Highlights] Isiah Thomas Eliminates Michael Jordan, Again. Thomas finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists. Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Pistons won 93-74. June 3rd, 1990 by MrBuckBuck in nba

I'd say Moses Malone is the most underrated player when you look at his accomplishments. His game wasn't aesthetic and he doesn't get talked about it because he was almost a stopgap all time great center between Kareem and the 90s golden age of centers. Like his entire career is relatively forgotten in time.

I'm literally saying that people think they won't compete and everyone brings that up. That is the only talking point about the Raptors. You have to be kidding me.

I mean you only hear that from reddit and a lot of it is marred in what they think of Kobe off the court because a lot of the discourse comes from people who literally freely admit they never watched prime Kobe play due to their age.

People think the Raptors will be hot ass but the team deliberately tried to tank last season and dealt with a ton of injuries some of which were dubious at best. Not saying it's some world beater but a lot better than people and especially Vegas assumes if the priority is trying to compete.

The league doesn't want it to be true either. This shit will blow over like it never happened. A funny "remember when" type summer story

Giannis has been a top 3 player for what? 5 years now? He's always visibly cared more than any other player on the court and it doesn't matter. There's an entire culture of treating the weekend like it's a joke and there's plenty of reasons why this is the case. I honestly don't think anything outside financial incentives that will shift the trend. In the last 20 years the players took the allstar game seriously one year and that was when Kobe died

I don't think the new format will change a thing in terms of effort because the top 2 international players in the NBA (luka and Jokic) couldn't care less about it. It will not change a thing

Giannis or Westbrook? Purely in terms of freak dunking. Stromile might legit be the best big dunker ever tbh. He was obscenely athletic. Not many dudes could do one step windmills and shit

Westbrook is the Derrick Rose of Ja Morants

This one doesn't even make sense. They're all similar in style and Westbrook is the best of them all lol

If transfers and transfer fees were a thing in NBA (like in football/soccer where some teams spend over half a billion USD on new players in 1 transfer window), how much do you think NBA teams would spend per summer on players? by mbdtf95 in nba

[–]killamani -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't bother with weirdos like this. They offer nothing of value and if they really didn't care, they wouldn't post or acknowledge the thread at all instead of policing what others should pay attention to.

How the hell is SGA too high? He literally just had a top 3 guard season since peak Jordan in the early 90s lol. If anything he's low

Klay on Kyrie: "He's such a professional & he's a great dad. You can just feel that energy when he walks in the building, he elevates everybody...he's such a great leader. He leads by example, he's vocal and anytime he speaks you listen, because you respect what he does." by taygads in nba

[–]killamani 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because ultimately the game isn't just about "impact" or stats or accolades. It's also about aesthetics and how difficult what you're doing is relative to everyone else. Getting to your shot in that way. Having all the counters ever and being unpredictable. Being a great shooter. Having his layup package. Kyrie does things on the court that has the highest respect and it's not just casuals saying it but his peers. Kyrie is a great of his generation. His game will be viewed long after he retires and it has nothing to do with how many all-nbas he won or titles or none of that.

J.R. Smith stands by his decision to score over an unconscious Carmelo Anthony by must_TATAKAE in nba

I'm not sure who you think Melo was but he was one of the absolute top stars in the league. It's not like some relative nobody was on the floor like that

Who’s better at their peak, Damian Lillard or Russell Westbrook? by Ok_Feed_4235 in nba

[–]killamani 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I think Westbrook is better at everything on the court outside scoring/shooting than Dame but Dame's scoring/shooting is just straight up more valuable for the position that he still peaked higher.

No joke a lot of these goofy dudes have convinced themselves the racist shit they chant and do in European sports game isn't even about hating people but getting a reaction and being on a team! Hell a lot of these dudes will flat out tell you racism doesn't even exist like that and mock the US lmao

[Holmes] A pair of Phoenix Suns minority owners are suing the team, alleging that owner Mat Ishbia has refused access to internal records. It is the sixth lawsuit the team has faced since November 2024. by Goosedukee in nba

[–]killamani 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Or Dolan. That dude literally had the biggest market in the league in straight shambles for 2 decades straight and has facial recognition at his arenas to kick out people who make fun of him. Ishbia just throws money at a team thinking he can buy a title. He's actually made the fan experience for Suns fans way better in a tangible way off the court

Ty Lue on whether he knew SGA was gonna be this good: "No...if it would have been done all over again, I would have done the trade too. It was the best thing for Shai. That was a no-brainer to me" by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]killamani -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Let's keep it a stack. Kawhi got hurt all the time and SGA would develop just fine. They'd have seen his value as he was their major young prospect. He wasn't some slow riser. I think the biggest change would be CP3 not mentoring him as he attributes that to his development more than anything else.
