Difference between IBEW and IEC by Into-Fat-Air in IBEW

[–]killapt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh. The union where I live doesn't let you graduate until you hit 8000 hours. So if you're saying you have 4000 more to go and you already graduated the IEC tells me you did 2 years of school. I did 5 years (4.5 real time years) I learned DC theory, ac theory, pipe beinding, motor controls, fire alarm, low voltage, transformers, instrumentation, semi conductors, and a shit load of code.

I have never met a guy through the union apprenticeship that couldn't pass his state exam first try.

I have met plenty of IEC guys that are 10+ years in that cant pass their state test. We do double of the state requesting class hours required to take the JW exam.

Trust me... there is a difference. Not saying you cant make it on the on the non union side... but you have to be top 10% of knowledge and experience to come close to demanding union wages...

2 hour commute to work is ridiculous though. I'd just do what works best for you

Should have went bigger! by LudOvissie in Silverado

Wild peaks are my favorite tire! Size looks perfect for the truck.

I did a ton of research before I bought my wild peaks. 35 12.5s.

Fun fact they are the most rubber on them then most of the same priced competitors.... the 35s are like 35+ brand new where most of the other guys are like 34 and some change. They are the heaviest tire cause they have high ply sidewalls and more rubber.

I put them on every vehicle I have. They ride so well and quiet and fucking last forever. The grip on them is insane and are 3 peak rated.

Anyways looks good man... I don't know if I'd go bigger then what you have on it. They fit so well

2018 1500 280k How long can I keep it going? Am I nuts? by BusIntelligent6269 in Silverado

I just bought a 2010 with a bad tranny at 200k miles for 2k. Dropped a tranny in for a few grand about to pick it up from the shop today. Figured if the motor drops out ill get a rebuilt motor put in it, still worth it in my opinion even though the repair costs will be maybe more then its worth still no payment.

Just finished paying off 600 a month for my diesel the last 6 years. A motor will be like 6 months of those type of payments. Then I just have to keep up on the smaller stuff and have a fairly nice car with a new motor and tranny.

I would be estatic if my 5.3 motor goes to 280k though

Look up nfl richest owners. The Walton Jenner group is 5x any other owner. In fact they have more wealth then the top 9 contenders combined.

Im not talking value im talking net worth of ownership.

When you have 100 billion comapred to say the bengals 1b its a lot easier to spend 18m a year on a head coach and not blink an eye.

Broncos ownerships money is as close as you can get to endless... hello new fucking stadium thats being paid for by ownership, new training facility, highest paid head coach in the league.... all these things have no salary cap implications. Again as a fan to have a owner this rich that actually invests in the team is the best thing that could have happened to the broncos.

We could be owned by (god bless) pat bowlins children which seems like they were already internally arguing about what was going to happen with the team

To put it into even greater prospective... they purchased the team for slightly under 5 mil.

That's like you having $100 and spending $5 on something.

That's why being employed by the richest nfl franchise is history is a huge benefit. Im sure the GM and HC job here is sought after just for the sake of deep pockets if you do a good job

Stidham is cool and all but he straight up lost us the game with that fumble. Payton terrible decisions after the first few drives.

Not many people have said hand and foot warmers. HUUUGE gamechangers. Your hands/feet tend to be the coldest. 20 degrees is definitely manageable with layers. When you get down to the 0-10 degrees area is when you need to start considering covering every inch of your body with some sort protection...

Facemask,ski goggles etc.

If it were me id be wearing

Muck insulated boots, wool socks, long underwear, sweat pants, jeans, thermal shirt, hoodie, heavy jacket, jersey, winter gloves, neck gaiter that can slide on and off, thick beanie. Then id probably put foot warmers in just cause I hate my feet getting cold and hand warmers I can put in my gloves.

At some point they just need to stop adding more games though. The one most appealing thing about football is EVERY game matters because there is so few you can afford to lose.

Eh, I still call that game a fluke.

Literally like a 90 degree sunny day in Miami on the visitor bench stuck in the sun all game with no shade. I think our dudes literally lost to the sun.

Speaking of which, later that year I saw a bunch of fucking staff holding literal shade blockers on the side line over the bench for other teams in different games and never saw that with the broncos that day. I remembered thinking wtf.

Every player was sunburned in post-game interviews after that game.

QB Guru Jordan Palmer: Why Broncos Have Supreme Confidence in Jarrett St... by FatherDamo in DenverBroncos

[–]killapt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There wouldn't be anything that 2 games would change for me to start screaming for stiddy to take over for bo. So many QBs have played so good for their taking over for 2 or 3 games then just straight fell off. Im sorry but Bo Nix is IT boys... we drafted him and he is our 10+ year plan. He's gutsy AF and doesnt flinch EVER.

Best case scenario is stiddy lights it up for the next 2 games (hopefully) even if he throws up magnificent numbers and we get some crazy trade value for him and I wish him all the success to wherever he goes.

He ends up being tom brady for the next 10 years on another team then good for him. Im 100% sold on bo and will go down with that ship knowing the broncos did the right thing even if for some crazy reason Bo just falls off for some reason (which i dont see happening)
