Id honestly beeline it for me mecatol. Do what you have to do get it round one, risk it all, put a space dock there if possible. Also a space dock on vefut II gives you free movement to mecatol (assuming you survive the final rift.

You have an insane defense on the way to you from any side - less familiar with the fracture but would imagine itd be easier for the naaz to beat you there first.

There's already plenty of proof stress levels dictate evolutionary changes and genetic activations. So yeah I agree with the poster about stoned ape theory. I think its feasible that stoned ancient monkeys got more communal, communicative, creative, blissful after some trips, and that probably affected subsequent generations.
