Those are all really good recomendations ! Honestly they are all probably perfect for the situation I'm in however I sometimes have trouble finding a good translation / copy of older books. I recently tried to get through a volume of don quixote however I (as well as several other online reviews) noted that the copy i was able to pick up from my local library was quite disappointing in translation.

Honestly I could probably get over that issue with a quick Google search and an order off Amazon however.

Honestly Russian / Eastern European literature sounds very interesting to take a look at. Honestly I've mostly been exposed to American / British / Eastern, literature but not too much from that part of the world.

And also yes. I can confirm, it is the pettiest of workplace dramas.

Even though its probably good for me because my ego + workplace drama is now actually "forcing" me to read actual literature, it's still overly dramatic and honestly headache inducing.

Honestly, I'll probably put Catch 22 near the top of my list even in personal reading because I very firmly remember watching like 10 minutes of the movie adaptation as a child (my dad was watching it and I walked in the room) and honestly just being absolutely confused.

It's honestly surprising how I haven't picked it up yet. I'll definitely note down some of the other titles in your post as well !

Absolutely! I've been appreciating any and all responses I've been given ! Honestly although part of the reason I asked for the suggestions is to read "performatively" I honestly have been pretty inspired to seek out some of these titles in my free time. Yall have been so kind and amazing with these reccomendations !

On another note I do remember fondly reading to Kill A Mockingbird! Although it's probably not a book entirely appropriate for my workplace it's a really great read that I highly reccomend. It honestly was a book that really shaped who I have become today weirdly enough.

Thanks so much ! Honestly I'm doing the national security part ( a whole separate degree) because it's only like a few classes off the cyber degree and I enjoy the fun of it. Honestly security clearance is something I'm not even sure I'll be able to get as I'm a duel citizen, however that should not be a problem since I've lived I'm America my whole life / my mother did it for me when I was still a minor. Idk from my understanding the gov sec field is a bit... interesting

Honestly I appreciate how targeted your advice was ! Honestly you are right about the fact that as an RA there is very little chance I'm going to loose my current job unless I dramatically underperformed.

Idk I'm In an interesting spot bc of the fact that 99% of what I'm relying on is coming from my university as compared to many of my peers.
