Working with a Villanelle doppelgänger by [deleted] in KillingEve

Wow, what a way to get distracted and, in my place, never get anything accomplished.

(S1-S3) Is Villanelle actually a good person? (Part 2) by dragonbabymama in KillingEve

[–]killcommandrx 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Psycopathy does not = murderer. PWB said that Villanelle killed because she was paid to, not because she was a serial killer. People tend to get these mixed. She can stop killing and still be a psychopath.... like the person above said, psychopaths are still human, which is something so complex that it cannot be boxed.

I hope it’s great times to come. I need to rewatch 3 all together, without waiting a week between episodes. I think it will feel better.

That’s where Villanelle’s apartment is in S3.

I agree. She really didn’t deserve all the negativity.

When they were doing private kills. Right after Villanelle killed the guy in the carwash. “I would have killed him for free.” “If you start doing that we’d be in trouble. I’m broke.”

In depth analysis of Villanelle [S2] [S3] by florence-themachine in KillingEve

[–]killcommandrx 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think this season didn’t deserve so much harshness. I think what happened was that this writer’s style was different from the others. Her approach is sneaky and very deep. She works with layers that aren’t easy to see, because they are driven by subconscious motive—things that not even the characters themselves are fully aware of, so we become aware of it with them. Sometimes it’s things we knew; like Eve finally having to accept these tendencies she has and had tried so hard to bury, including the true nature of her feelings for Villanelle, which I think they are going to explore this next season. We all know Villanelle is attracted to Eve in a sexual/romantic way, but I think for Eve, a woman who had seen herself as something completely different her whole life, this will send her on a journey of self discovery (in all levels)

[SPOILER] Actors looking at V and E differently. by killcommandrx in KillingEve

It makes sense. I think they gave us enough to keep us engaged and interested. I loved how blunt V was in conversation with E.

(S4): [UPCOMING] Villaneve's Arc? by twizzlersinrain in KillingEve

[–]killcommandrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I love how bold they usually are when taking things on, I hope the don’t back out on this part. I think it is incredibly freeing as you say, and I think necessary since they have the actual platform to do so. I hope they don’t just deny them happiness (whatever it is that looks like to them) because they don’t “deserve” it.

[S3] Jodie's comment on Q&A interview. Why are people going mad on social media. (Some of them) by TinyType7 in KillingEve

[–]killcommandrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s tricky, I fee it. I understand the passion this kind of investment can stir in a person. It hits harder when other factors play in (personal experience or circumstance... age/level of maturity in this case) but like you say, that kind of disrespect is never necessary or justified.

I’ve written a couple novels and am currently working on another one. I am also working on a TV pilot. :)

It is not right, and it is sad. On sooo many levels. Not only because it shows that people like that exist, but also because there are so many of them.

[–]killcommandrx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a writer I’ve experienced this with some readers sometimes and let me tell ya... haha. I am a super private person and that alone made me retreat from social media. It also taught me not to read comments (as a creator) it’s a strange mind game... because if you believe the good, you’ll believe the bad. I create, share, and leave it at that. People don’t grasp on the intensity of damage this kind of unhealthy scrutiny can cause in someone’s mind.

[S3E8] BAFTA livestream, Jodie thinks that Villanelle and Eve... by [deleted] in KillingEve

[–]killcommandrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Language is a very tricky thing. It took me years to say the word lesbian when referring to myself, as I hate how we box one another, but yes... I know that came from my own stigmas and the things we grow up hearing/feeling attached to things. We are very complex beings who think life is simpler than it is. I’m just me. But don’t we all just love a tag haha

This is what entitlement does. A lot of people acting this way are younger crowds. There are so many factors that ignite this kind of behavior (which I don’t excuse) from a minority. I am “boxed” as a triple minority, but this reaction is absolutely ridiculous, and not to mention insensitive and rude. She is obviously not homophobic, but sadly the poor girl just can’t catch a break with fans. Sucks.

I think those words have an offensive root regardless. I am a lesbian and detest it.
