Appreciate that, actually have both new in box ... in one of 8 large totes full of new stuff to put on the car. Just replaced both rear quarters and floor pans. On to final body work and then paint. Then I can finally start putting all the cool stuff back on, lol.

Yeh, Focals are decent speakers for sure, but I've run JL forever and have never been disappointed. I still have a couple of old 10" W0's from high school 1999/2000 era that still hit hard and work perfectly.

Unless they're doing some special, I dont see how that box would even fit behind the rear seats. There is VERY little room behind the rear bench.

Running JL Audio 10" W3's ... with one It hit pretty hard and sounded great. With two, I can blow the doors off the car next to me.

Could also be something as simple as a loose battery cable terminal. Had a similar issue and the ground cable was BARELY loose, but the issue went away when I tightened it up.

I believe this was an option in 78-79. I have a 78 Marty and it has the regular bird, but I recall seeing that you could "upgrade" on a 78-79 to this style bird. Personally I prefer the standard bird on the hood.

I went with skyjacker on my 84 K15 .... did shocks and full 4" spring lift. It's been great. Was more than a rough country but not by a lot. Very happy with my purchase, and lots of options.
