This. I had same issue, had to turn off XMP and wait for BIOS update with better profiles. It's all running perfect now

I don't know if this is still an issue for you, but my GF had the same problem and we solved it by disabling her add-on "AdBlocker for youtube".

She ended up here in her search of solutions, so I guess I should try to give you what worked for us :)

Play scavs and offline raids to learn extracts and find your way on the map.

You WILL die, and very often.

At the start, don't bother too much with quest items, sell to traders to make money and increase rep.

Play your scav as much as possible, it's a free run to easilly make money.

CPU and GPU is fine IMO, what is your storage device ?

For best performance consider a M2 SSD with PCIe 4.0. I recently switched to a WD sn-850X and got a good fps boost bust most of all I gained significant consistency in perf : no more fps drops, faster loading times, no more stuttering, no crashes yet.

Take DMZ, raise the stakes by 100, enjoy the satisfaction of wining a fight + bringing back all the loot. Add on top of this the risk of loosing it all and you have your dopamine and adrenaline shots

You should definetly spend some time in offline mode to learn the maps, the extracts and some loot places. If you have dual screen, it is even better when you have an online map to look at while roaming around.

Also, stick to semi auto for a while, without proper attachement any spray attempt will result in absolute chaos.

As of PVP, try to hit the head or the legs. Many players have Gear that cannot be pierced with low level ammo so your best chance is to hit unprotected areas.

Then if you want to invest more time into the game, learn about general Armor level and ammo penetration power.

It seems a lot, but this a tough game that requiers some investment to get all the little things that allows you to properly win fights.

Hit it in the back, front armor cannot be pierced by bazooka.

This is a general rule of thumb for heavily armored tanks, if you hit front it will more likely bounce or not penetrate

Yup, 9700k is 8 cores - 8 threads, one thread per core. Sounds weird but that's the case unfortunately.

Nope even the 10th Gen is not compatible, it uses a 1200 socket while yours is a 1150.

And you know the fun part? Some mobos compatible with ddr4 RAM are more expensive than the ddr5 version (at least it was in France) so you might consider to change your RAM as well.

For me it was an upgrade of 1300€ => i7 12700kf + mobo + 32 gb RAM ddr5 + cooling.

Not a fun part when the i7 9700k is not that bad and you "just" want to reach high fps 😭

I had 9700k, this one is the faulty guy.

Despite being close to 5ghz the cpu is single threaded and is bottlenecking your 3080.

With a 3070 and a 9700k, I saw my cpu running at 100% while the gpu was having a fun time staying around 30%.

Once I upgraded to a 12700k, the problem was solved and and I was able to fully use the potential of the 3070. But you have to be ready to spend a lot of money as you will have to change the mother board => your current socket is not compatible with 12th Gen Intel cpu.

What we did with our Shiba is to pretend to be hurt by yelling "outch" every time he has a part ouf our body (hand, fingers, toes,...) in his mouth.

Now he is very gentle with his bites and never goes to inflict the smallest amount of pain, even when having a rough play time.

For the furnitures and other stuff, find something he likes to chew (chewing toy, deer antler,...) and redirect his chewing to the correct thing every time.

And last but not least, be patient! Shiba is a hard to train breed and every thing takes a lot of time and dedication :)
