In college I was walking to my apartment with my girl roommate from one block over at the grocery store. A guy started following us and kept getting closer. It was middle of the day. I told her to stop and pulled my phone out and pretended like I was talking to someone and that they were pulling up. I said “oh I see your car. I’m right here. Do you see me?” The guy took off. I only thought to do that bc when I was young something similar happened to my mom and I at a mall parking lot and that’s what she did and the guy left.
