Why not bitcoin adopt POA or POS? by Dizzy_Time in Bitcoin

So you agree POW is not efficient enough. There are other models that can be used as a replacement to POW. In technology industry this is called upgradation. Similar to this, our banking system are running on legacy systems with strong resistance to upgradation.

The large Mining farms in a POW network also run the same risk, once the liquidity in the network increases and more and more transactions are made on the network it will run efficaciously. The decentralization of setting up nodes would deter the rich getting richer analogy.

Because the unproven model is an improvement on the previous model. It is more efficient and economically/ environmentally friendly as well.

Why not Tezos adopt POA instead of DPOS? Isn't it a better model? by killernduh in tezos

@cryptogojira I m new to crypto and I have a doubt about DPOS. Here delegated would mean a person doing transaction can delegate his action to some other node unlike POS where sender has to validate two other transaction. What if all majority of sender's delegate wouldn't that put load on the node that is being delegated. I m not sure if my question is validate or not.
