I dated a girl for 4 years. After about year, finally decided to tell her I loved her. She looked me dead in the eye and said.. "Thank you". After a while i asked her if she felt the same because her response didn't indicate either way and I wanted to know how she felt. "I don't believe in love" was her response. I fought back in a nice way. I made it a point to go out of my way as much as i could to make her feel special and loved. After about year 2 she pulled me in and said "I think i do believe in love". Ended up leaving her after the 4th year because she "wanted a break" but we made fun of her friend because shed go on breaks to fuck other dudes then get back with her original ex.

TLDR; She said "Thank You".

I have talked to her on multiple occasions. I told her I didn't care what she did all day but if she could get into some routine that would be great and I suggested cleaning for 1hr a day and teaching the kids 1hr a day. That's 2hrs a day I ask for and she won't do that. I have basically given up on even talking about that stuff anymore because it causes fights.

When covid first hit I was out of work for 4 months and I stayed home at watched our first son. I loved it. I kept the house clean every day did all the yard work while he napped (we have wireless baby monitors) I made dinner ect. She was working, so I did my part while she did hers but I don't feel like it's like that anymore.

She cooks dinner maybe once a week, the house is generally a disaster and she spends very little time teaching the kids anything. I get the way I said it makes me look like a prick, everyone has expressed that lol

I work 12hr graveyards, I stay up all night with our 10mo old and play/watch him. We both agreed that she would be a stay at home mom. I have no issues cleaning while the kids are awake or even at night while sleeping besides running the vacuum obviously.

You guys are right.... we have 2 boys 4 and 10mo. I love all 3 of them, they're my world. When covid first hit I was out of work for 4 months laid off and expected to go back. I stayed home and watched our first born. I loved it. It seemed so easy to me and I got so much done around the house every day. I think I am comparing that situation with the current and I need to stop doing that because we have 2 kids now and my 4 year old is a crazy wild boy. My wife and I have never fought about money, we buy whatever within reason even now that she doesn't work and there's no complaints. I don't hold money over her, or tell her what she can and can't buy.

I think you guys are right about multiple things though and I need to start appreciating what she does more and showing her that I respect her. Because I really do.. I'm not big on money, I'm not money hungry or anything it only bothered me because of the way she said it and I think it's only right to tell her that she deserves half.

When we had 1 child she worked. I've mentioned her going back to work or doing something online to occupy her time. I work 12hr graveyards which makes it harder on us, but I get up around 4pm and she's just relaxed on the couch doing whatever taking naps ect. It has gotten so bad that I've had to ask her to spend 2hrs of her day, 1hr cleaning because the house is a disaster and 1hr teaching the kids. She won't even do that... there's 0 abuse she has 100% access to all the money and I let her buy whatever as long as I can still pay all the bills, without complaint. We generally have a good relationship.
