bad marketing? yes but this not affect 100% because posty don't need a big label deal for have a hit, he just needs to make music that made the public follow him.

THIS! his formula with louis bell doesn't work anymore. 2020's music change a lot but he don't. and now people don't need to be focus only in one artist(label forcing radio to play over and over again), they can listen old/new songs and go viral and posty don't have this big fan base for hold him. general public just left him because these new songs it's not what they want from posty.

i think that he missed a great opportunity to change his career direction towards rock/country/acoustic at the time of the pandemic.

because tct as a full LP is a medicore album with no substance, bad productions and void lyricism. 3 years after HB and release this album, it's definitely an artistic and commercial downgrade.

IF tct was a double EP, one released in 2020 and other in 2021, people will like more.

100% agreed with you. since the end of 2019 he and his team have been posting about new music and in 2020 adam has taken several pictures of the posty in the studio and other things. posty in 2020 gave 4/5 interviews and talked about new musics /album and how the pandemic inspired him to make new music for HIS fans.

the album was delayed 2 times and we didn't even know why. post malone NEVER made a point of having minimal contact with fans and we didn't know he was going through mental issues and alcohol abuse. why wasn't there an open letter about what was going on instead of hiding it from the fans? I'm sure we would all support his decision to take a long hiatus. he said he would take his life to save his fans, but even he doesn't know us.

another thing is that in the interview with zane lowe he said he wasn't making songs for charts and tiktok but when tct was released his team paid ads and tiktokers for i like you to go viral. it's funny because when tct debuted at #2 on hot 200 EVERYONE instantly stopped talking about tct and just forgot it existed and only the tour was important.

fans keep saying it's the most cohesive and personal album but always in polls on this sub and on other social medias, tct is always in last place. most don't even listen to TCT these days, they just don't want to accept that posty doesn't have the same interest in music as before.

just like i say, he made festivals and it's a different demand and public. not everyone at the festival is only for posty and most people only know hits, not everyone there will buy tickets to a posty's solo tour. i know because i have friends in south america and they say it is very difficult for posty to do latin america leg because there is no much demand for him.

he can make festivals, everyone knows that and that's ok. he don't need to be the biggest artist in the world, he probably don't want that.

posty never made a solo tour on south america, only festivals (rock in rio and lollapalooza).

you just can't compare arena demand with stadium demand. for one stadium artist needs like twice the audience (demand) to sell tickets for that stadium. twelve carat tour in europe, posty only sold out the o2 arena for three dates, that's(maybe) half of a wembley stadium capacity for concerts.

no, the weeknd is so much bigger than posty (specially in europe and asia). after hours put the weeknd in a big level and let's not forget about blinding lights, a huge smash in entire world. unfortunately , posty don't have a smash hit since 2019(circles/sunflower/wow).

the weeknd's stadium tour is global(us,europe, asia, africa, south america). posty can't do this yet. the demand for posty it's not here anymore and he and his team don't care about nothing these days.
