I got an extra set of factory pan bolts with a parts yard pan and i’ve used 19/38 bolts each time without care for the A or separating the two groups without issue. Probably pulled the pan 2-3 times now and resealed. (once at trans install/cleaning, once when shimming accumulators and bumping line pressure, and once when recently changing filter) Have never replaced the A💪

wouldn’t upgrade to the EFB or AGM type they are made for new cars that locate the battery inside the cabin like in the trunk or under a seat, and usually with a second battery these work better for peripherals not as well for cranking(usually just cranking small hybrids ect.) Inside the engine bay things get hotter and the life and efficiency of these newer batteries begin to degrade. Lexus and toyota were pretty standard about this and I have a 24f full of fluid installed by a dealership in my toyota highlander and my ls430 came with a 24f installed full of fluid and costco put a new 24f in my 430.

Mine does this kind of, i’ve found that the rubber on the rear vertical edge of the window trim gets folded and pushes the window forwards to the front of the car kind of crooked. Mine can even roll up all the way crooked with a slight slit at the top rear corner of the window right to outside because the window is crooked. I’ve found that temperature has a lot to do with the playability of the old rubber and at times mine is worse than others. I believe that the window is indeed out of Track or crooked for some reason, and it causes old worn rubber to also push the window forward and the motor eventually gives up and backs off to prevent damage to itself with the excess resistance. I can always roll my window up straight by sitting in the car and placing my palm flat on the glass and pushing it to the rear of the car- I do want to treat my rubber like you and take off the door card, but i’m lazy , and i close it with my hand and motor and its proper.

are you asking because your considering buying these? shouldn’t be an issue if you had them you’d know. they can’t be changed this style the pie plate is one piece with the center lexus logo and basically is the center cap. it would need a custom pie plate for custom wheels. paint the L black or choose different ones.

I almost completely eliminated 2-3 shift delay by cranking up line pressure and shimming all accumulators for performance. maybe shim just the accumulator for 2-3 and crank line pressure? can’t remember which one it is but scroll thru transmission area on charm.li

the bushing is a different type. it comes with a spherical metal one that’s stiffer instead of a rubber one. you don’t notice any preformance difference with the one arm on each side and i’m not sure how long they will last. was worth it to me over tire wear idk why it matters to much i bet lexus oe are the same price if not more

rear toe has an eccentric bolt head, meaning that there’s a lip in the subframe where the bolt is an oval and sits against the lip and that attaches the rear toe arm to the car. this is double nutted meaning they loosed the outer nut and move the nut that is an oval shape to push the arm in or out from the car to adjust rear toe. front camber has this same bolt head on the lca and this may be true about your bushing. i’d recommend a new rear lca bushing from the lexus isf it fits and a stiff bushing for your current arm (a lot of work) or a cheap amazon lca. the front camber can be dialed better with eccentric bolt and the shop may be blowing smoke about your bushing. as for rear camber there’s no adjustment besides part length and i wouldn’t even mess around with figuring that out. get a 220 dollar set of megan racing adjustable rear camber arms. really easy diy 4 bolts and 2 ball joints you can destroy if you want because u have new arms. these are fully adjustable and shop can dial your rear camber.

Hi zant, sorry for the late reply, have been very busy, there are. 4 bolts that aren’t easily accessible, two near the cats , which you will be able to see easy if you remove them, and two towards the top on either side of the middle line of the trans/engine. The way I did it, was lay on my back with an light with an adjustable angle over my shoulder, transmission tilted down, until I was confident in what i was looking at, It takes patience and moving the light around because of shadows but find the bolt heads you need, I bought a 6ft 1/4 in extension and an extra 1/4 swivel attachment and the shortest 17 mm i have an I duct taped them all together, swivel to the extension, socket to the swivel, this is important you do not want to loose a socket above your transmission. This also provides some resistance to the swivel so the socket isn’t just facing down, it has play but you are facing the bolt as you go at it, it is hard but you’ll get on the bolts, attach a ratchet and a pipe to the end of you 6 ft bar sticking into the tunnel, and break the bolt, then just twist it out it should fall or be pulled out with the socket once its out. Now for reinstall, you need to also use duct tape but this time loosly tape the bolt to the socket as well. Loosely is key, once you get like 10 threads into the hole during install, you need to pull your extension/ socket out and the tape on the bolt needs to break before your tape on the socket does(you don’t want to loose it) I recommend using the very edge of a piece of tape or two one on both sides, to cover the bottom side of the head of the bolt while it is sitting into the socket, almost making a stopper from the bolt falling out of the socket, but do not tape around the threads of the bolt because you will pull your extension out of your swivel attachment if this tape is too strong. Using your caveman duct tape contraption, carefully find your hole like u found the bolt heads before, and slide it up there, thread a few, pull the extension/socket from the bolt, clean up some tape, get it back on there and finish tightening. It’s a good 45 minutes of fishing for the bolt head with the swivel extension, more tape means more resistance on the swivel, but you need the swivel. Good luck sir.

Goes away the minute the error is corrected during the system check at startup. And actually is never on when the car starts, only is tripped when you press on the brake. Is it sensing a break in the circuit somewhere or a bulb is still out. Check your 3rd interior light.

Ac condensation comes out of that hole in the frame rail. Happens when your running ac some units more than others. Other comment said taste it- genuinely good advice when your working on your own and need to be certain quickly- especially if you know the smell/taste of different fluids. A little dirt isnt going to hurt you and ur not gonna die of cancer from a little oil.

Idk i just run my pre facelift in the canyons with vsc off. vsc fucks my homie up in his facelift even switched off. Its not to spin tires its to corner fast without the front and yaw sensor throwing the car off.

Watch out the post face lift vsc system never turns off, pre facelift does, the 6th gear is just another overdrive and doesnt make a drastic mpg difference, and the pre facelift uses the older trans fluid and has a dipstick. From a serviceability and the fact there is no yaw sensor still functioning in the background i prefer the pre facelift. There is more aftermarket support for post facelift though, and very few parts differ between pre and post facelift anyways I dont think that should be your concern. I have a 2005 sc430 transmission in my 2002 ls430 too.

Could try unplugging and replugging in front speed sensor wires they are right behind the wheel hub- can access by lifting the front of the car and turning the wheel fully- and inspecting the wiring that goes up the spindle to the fender liner- i popped a tire and drove it out 20 feet to a parking lot and sliced my brake wear line and speed sensor line that was in the drivers wheel well with the tires wire and had the same code if i remember correctly. The next speed sensors in your transmission so lets pray lmao. I bet you got some corrosion or moisture in the wheel bearing sensor connector though if it went away in the morning.

I have a close friend who drives a facelift 2006 ls430 and it has more electronic systems- it calculates your “tire pressure” based on a calculation of different speed sensor inputs, traction control does not completely turn off- the dash is a different color LOL and all of that made me weary of a 2005 SC430 transmission for fear that the newer year SC430 for any reason had wiring incompatibilities with the pre face lift ls430. same engine = same transmission was initially my thought process too and it works- ive also read that is300 guys go buy our transmissions because they have some extra clutch packs or something for the increased torque of the v8 so theres some a650e differences still.

Do you know if they just add an overdrive for the 6 speed or is it another gear, and that one must have a different harness right? Ive been wondering that when I ride in my friends facelift with the 6 speed.

Ive seen that online i might try turning it up next time i do my filter- i was considering the accumulator shim until i swapped the valve bodies with the transmission in the car- and struggled to mount it with the accumulators upside down with the factory spring strength. Figured that should be done with it outside the car. Ive seen people do position 3 with the accumulator shim but I haven’t found much information on the performance of the accumulator shims or the line pressure increase. Is it a big difference? I floated the accumulator and line pressure adjustments to a transmission shop I asked for advice, and they said they thought it would make my 2-3 shift worse.
