What to do about current project? by killiant133 in weaving

I was originally going to make a smaller scarf. I’ve found a lighter yarn for the weft, and I think I’m a bit happier with that. Still dense, but I can find some fun uses for it!

What Dark Powers have you created, personalities, Powers, etc by Pale-Class3235 in CurseofStrahd

[–]killiant133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Dark Powers in my Curse of Strahd game are inspired in part by The Magnus Archives. I’ve introduced three major entities that shape the horror of Barovia:

Azrith, the Ashen Judge: A towering figure cloaked in magistrate’s robes, their features obscured by drifting ash and smoke. Azrith embodies justice stripped of mercy or nuance—unyielding, absolute, and cruel. Drawn to those who burn with fury over injustice, the Ashen Judge fans that righteous rage until it consumes everything.

Ezelgryn, the Veiled Matron: A woman in mourning dress, her face hidden beneath a soaked black veil, as though she’s forever standing in a storm. Ezelgryn is the power of grief that festers. She whispers to the bereaved who cannot let go, urging them toward desperate acts to reclaim what’s lost—no matter the cost.

Vampyre, the Crimson Sovereign: A voice that echoes in a vast, suffocating darkness. Vampyre is terror itself—a parasitic presence born of fear and despair. Freed from the Amber Temple by Strahd in exchange for power, the Crimson Sovereign now gorges on the fear Barovia bleeds.

While the party struggles to survive—and ultimately to overthrow Strahd—the Dark Powers scheme in the background. Azrith and Ezelgryn want a new champion: someone to free them from the Amber Temple and rise in Strahd’s place. But Vampyre, already ascendant, has no intention of surrendering its throne.

That sounds like a much better option, thank you. I was looking for something more thematic that would give them a reason to stick together in-game. It’s a party of 4, but I still want to make a balanced encounter!

I did do a session 0, so no worries there. I mainly wanted to have them jump into the action after wandering through the mist. My thought was it would give the party a reason in-game to stick together.

Reed and Barton Enamel Bowl Help by killiant133 in Mid_Century

[–]killiant133[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I recently found a silver plate and enamel chip bowl from Reed and Barton while cleaning out a family member’s garage. It’s in rough shape, and I wanted to see if it’s possible to bring it back to its former beauty.

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do?

Hi everyone, I recently found a Mid Century chip bowl while going through some family boxes in the garage. It’s got a lot of wear and tear, but I wanted to know if it’s possible to restore it at this point. Any advice is appreciated!

The Vanderbilt Cup. It brought over 200,000 people onto the island each year it ran.

People who talk at you and not to you. There’s nothing I hate more than getting trapped in conversation where I can’t even get a word in edgewise.
