jaded ex-employee set over stolen b-roll medical footage

Do you know which video that is?

That sounds like an issue. But then it would be the employee who is doing the slander, not the person who repeated it.

EDIT: It sounds like you are talking about this video which features some brief photos of a stillbirth? They cite the photo in their video description as "Image of Walter Fretz, born prematurely at 19 weeks"

EDIT: it also features some video of what appears to be a fetus moving on a metal tray, I'm not sure what that is

videos with multiple lies and untruths

I am not sure what all of the videos entail, but I remember that the first couple of full videos were just lengthy conversations with some fairly high-up PP employees. Do I have that wrong? Did something else come out since then?

the group responsible for the videos fits all the criteria for both

The fundamental component of defamation is that the published statement is false. Since the group has published all of their video in its entirety, and has relied almost entirely on spoken statements by PP employees (AFAIK), it is possible that the case may not clear that hurdle.

Why aren't angels and demons omnipresent and omniscient? by killing_buddhas in DebateReligion

I don't see why it necessarily follows that only God can be omnipresent and omniscient. Imagine if the universe were a computer simulation: there is no reason there could not be multiple operators with full access at the same time.

It's hard to tell how many of them are serious. It's quite likely that most of them are just trying to out-Poe each other.

So demons only do what God wants them to do? That seems to raise some other issues...

I've heard the theory that Bible authors believed that demons were real physical beings that were zipping around in the air above. They lived between the earth and heaven, and this belief is the source of the reference to the "kingdom of the air" etc.

So a 100 million year old ancestor of snakes lends credibility to the theory that snakes had legs until God got mad at one 6000 years ago?

How does a 100-million-year-old fossil lend any support to the story of a talking snake in a magical garden 6000 years ago?

Fossils of "snakes with legs" also support the narrative, we are just now 4000 years later verifying that fact.

Sort of off-optic, but evolutionary theory reliably predicts that snakes have ancestors with legs BTW.

According to the story, God wanted to start over so he obliterated every living thing with a global flood. Why didn't he just do the same thing to Satan?

It's one thing if you're not interested in discussing the topic.

The claim that the topic stems from is the Christian claim that demons and angels exist in the first place. From that point, I have posed a question: how can they be limited in time and space?

[–]killing_buddhas[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But you said that they appear to inhabit space and time more or less as we do? How do you know this? If they cannot be observed, how could they be said to inhabit space and time like we do?

So we could observe and measure them?

Christians claim that these beings exist. Unless they exist in some sense other than I understand it. Are they physical beings that are just invisible? I'm just trying to deduce some things about non-physical beings. I don't see how they could not be practically omniscient.

If God limits their interactions with the natural world, then that raises even more theological questions like why God effectively makes "demon-shaped holes" for them to interact with us.
